Filmed over the 4th of July holiday in Pittsburg. Anthrocon 2022 was my best con in a long while and I think the footage shows. Next con probably wont till MFF but I do hope you stick around! Got some other video ideas coming. Peace,
Thank you so much for making this video, it really captured so much of the convention and how it felt this year! I will probably watch this for years haha
This is an amazing video, you're film making is skillful. You got everything in one swoop video. I wish i could be there it's such a crazy experience . Thank you for making it!
I wasn't ready to give the time to this it deserved till recently but! You absolutely nailed the feel and vibe I think you were going for Patrick! The visual style, flow and progression throughout both tracks of all those little concentrated moments throughout the con made for such a smooth enjoyable watch
Goodness your vids deserve much more views. This is some of the best con cinematography I've seen to date and you picked some great music to go with it all. Thank you for creating this masterpiece!
Hey Patty, thank you so much for stopping us on the beach. We were all struck by your kindness and acceptance. I truly wish you all the best and I honestly can’t believe you found my page. Thanks again 😊
Omg I was not expecting to see me out of suit haha! I’m so flattered, definitely just made my day!! 💖 (I was the one dancing on stage in the Kodak sweater lol)
This was half of an awesome video. I can't speak the praises of the first half of this video enough! The first part was excellent! The video quality was so great that I felt like I could reach out and hug those furries! Excellent lighting, great song choice. Great cinematography, and I loved the selection of little clips you used to show fun little moments from Anthrocon 2022. I'm sorry to say I was less impressed by the second half of the video. I found the second song really grating, and ended up putting it to nearly mute. I was going to criticize the cinematography, but I decided to do a little experiment. I muted your video, and instead played Aviators - Restless over the second half of the video instead of Purity Ring - Lofticries. The results was a toe-tapping, awesome music video, and even more fun than the first video. There's nothing at all wrong with the cinematography of the second half of the video - I just think the song selection really sucks. I would advise splitting this into two videos. Cut the video at 2:50, and upload just that section as a video, and the rest of it as a separate video. 6 million people like Purity Ring - Lofticries while 63 million people like Jonas Brothers - Cool, but I think you overestimated how much overlap there is between people that like those two different genres. You should split this video in two so people can enjoy it separately rather than combining the two into a 7 minute video.
I’ve tried the whole splitting up the con video into separate parts routine for MFF16. Not interested here. I experienced this convention not as separate events but as one wild weekend. My biggest detriment has always been limited runtime where I have to make sacrifices on what to leave out. Didn’t want that grief here. Your words about the second part of the video are interesting. The popularity between the two songs is irrelevant to me and they are deliberately different for a reason. The first half of this video imo was more cookie cutter and safe and dare I predictable… similar to my other works that I could have done in my sleep. The second part however presented a challenge to make a con video to music not often utilized in this way. I enjoy the song but I’m sorry that you or others may not. I was pleased with the results but I know that not everyone will agree. I tried something new and had fun without a total catastrophe… what more can one ask for? Ultimately the most important thing, while having a growing audience is rewarding, is not why I got into making videos from conventions. The preservation of these events for posterity and doing so in a dignified way is nearly all that matters.
