no shot they trading for patrick williams. he wants 30 million a year for 4 years. its why bulls want to trade him. everyone sees that new american cable tv contract in 2026 and dont want to be undercut on the salary so they asking for more knowing the cap is going up for that 1 year. gary isnt gonna agree to sign with raptors if he has to take a pay cut. he will just sign with magic where its warm all year and there is no state tax so he gets to keep more of his money. why would gary agree to a sign and trade for less, raptors will have to pay him around 20 million if they want him to sign a contract or sign and trade.

The thing with that is we aren’t going to see a huge leap in cap space like with the last media rights deal. The new CBA specifically prevents that with a clause that allows the league to gradually increase the cap space instead of all at once
