In this video, we break down a report regarding Patrick Williams being signed by the Toronto Raptors. We also discuss Masai Ujiri's future with the organization. - - #torontoraptors #toronto #nba #scottiebarnes #rjbarrett
Giddy and Caruso both on expiring contracts (giddy RFA) and Caruso will be cheaper, plus he has an incredible work ethic. I like this trade for both teams.
The issue is we should trade Bruce Brown during draft. Patrick can’t sign with Bulls until July 6. If we hold Bruce until then and deal falls. You are holding an asset that will be tougher to move as money dries up. Now Bruce browns value goes down. If they wanted Gary and we got him to agree to 3 years $15 and they got Patrick to agree to about the same I would trade Gary plus we would pick 31 for them and send on July 6. I think they want to trade Zach so a Josh G, Coby White as combo guard and Gary makes a good back court. We could play PW at 3/4 with SB and move RJ to starting SG.
no shot they trading for patrick williams. he wants 30 million a year for 4 years. its why bulls want to trade him. everyone sees that new american cable tv contract in 2026 and dont want to be undercut on the salary so they asking for more knowing the cap is going up for that 1 year. gary isnt gonna agree to sign with raptors if he has to take a pay cut. he will just sign with magic where its warm all year and there is no state tax so he gets to keep more of his money. why would gary agree to a sign and trade for less, raptors will have to pay him around 20 million if they want him to sign a contract or sign and trade.
patrick williams and nic claxton both want 30 million a year for 4 years because of that new american cable tv contract coming in 2026. its why their teams want to move them and not pay em.
@@giovanni-ed7zq likely right for that money and he likely won’t get it. Bull already see what happened when they paid Zach and Lonzo. No other team would pay him that. Only worth $15 and hurt too much.
The thing with that is we aren’t going to see a huge leap in cap space like with the last media rights deal. The new CBA specifically prevents that with a clause that allows the league to gradually increase the cap space instead of all at once
