Daniel is Patrick’s first Chinese friend when he came to China. The reason why Daniel can speak good English is because he was born in America and lived there for sometime until he moved back to China. The reason why Daniel speaks in English and Patrick speaks in Chinese is to help Patrick learn Chinese more efficiently. Patrick calls Daniel Zhou laoshi (teacher Zhou 😂)

Their improvised break up is so iconic most of us have their lines memorised. Internationally they are the most popular ship. The multilingual mess in chuang was my favourite part of it. It was hilarious and fascinating watching trainees speaking different languages and since I can understand Chinese and English it was soooo cool but also hella relatable to me
Although Daniel is a local trainee he still considered as Foreign Trainee since most of his time he is in USA. He is also an actor, he debut his series at the same year as Patrick debut Time in The Gifted. That’s why they are known for Actors of Chuang
As we know - Patrick is a good actor in " The Gifted Graduation " before CHUANG 2021 while Keyu ( Daniel ) is too " Remember My Boy " !! So, their acting class is so admirable !!
a Chinese fan wrote a short analysis before about why the three long hugs they shared on the finale night were so meaningful. this was partly because the very day before the finals both their interim rankings dropped out of debut ranks (1 - 11), and they must have been terrified they wouldn't make it. (also bearing in mind they would then be separated by two countries and could not see other other again). still, they spent their last day before the finale going to and from recording together. and Patrick wrote a long letter of support to Keyu (one of the moments you saw in the video), even though he himself had dropped in ranking. and that's what makes the finale night even sweeter, and their hugs so meaningful, when they found out they would debut and be in a group together for two more years. 💕
Okkkk so let me explain. The emotion acting class was for their first stage radio in chuang 2021 because when they initially performed their mentor said they look like warriors and not like they miss someone they love so everyone in the team had to do the acting class .
I want to tell you "Chou didi and Chou gege"in Chinese it usually use with the couple but you can use with friends but rarely found.🤭(Sorry, my English is not stable.)

They announced the rankings by starting at number 10-3,11,2 and then 1. Since Daniel was first announced, they both thought that Patrick wouldn’t make it because they knew Oscar didn’t. But then, Patrick got 9th place. So that’s why they were both crying.

Here is the spoil of the Final Debut Night....please skip if you will watch the show later... during the program, the MC announced Rank 10-13 (not in order, Patrick, AK, Oscar, Caelan) Patrick was Ranked 12 a week before the show... Back to the final announcement of the debut persons....... the first person to announce was Keyu (Ranked 10) Keyu rank was always very good.....So I was so shocked about it........then I was thinking about Patrick and Nine..... Next, Ranked 9 was Patrick..... Anyway, on this clip you can see Patrick was walking to hug with Keku (the stage with a water graphic) I like that moment so much.........
