Patriot Prime Reviews Transformers 1986 G1 Minibots 

Here's hoping we get the rest of these guys updated in the Legacy line (or whatever comes next).

Fantastic collection Patriot Prime!! All the 1986 Minibots are must have Transformers. I also believe that Hubcap was the Bumblebee look-a-like behind Jazz, Spike, Cliffjumper, and Bumblebee inside Unicron at the end of the G1 film. Keep on being amazing.

Great review! They all display very well in vehicle mode. Wheelie’s robot mode is hot garbage.

I really thought Hubcap was released at the same time of Cliffjumper and Yellow Cliffhumper in '84. Huh, you learn something everyday. Those guys are the best small bots ever made. Nice repaint, fun classic mold. I don`t collect G1 figures, but when I see one I try to pick it up. Great review!

Great review. Outback was my first Transformer though Hubcap was my favorite Mini Autobot growing up. Between my brothers and I, Outback, Pipes, Hubcap, Swerve, Powerglide and Beachcomber were our first Autobots. Against our first Decepticons Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge, those early battles were kind of one sided.

Hubcap Confused the hell out of me as a kid, My aunt bought me the toy in England and brought it over for a Christmas gift along with Smokescreen and Blitzwing, I'd never heard of or seen the figure here in Canada. But I loved him, probably because Cliffjumper was my all time favourite Autobot

Dang. I didn't realize they painted the face/eyes on the Walmart reissues. They look SO much better. I just picked up the Bumblebee. Now I'll have to try and hunt the rest down now.

I've been waiting for this one. I've had a feeling for a while that you would. Great review from the comparisons to the first wave and the new re-releases. Keep up the great work!

Jazz and Bumper were my first 2 transformers. I knew I something special with Bumber after about a year. My favorite 86 minibot is Tailgate.

Personally I consider the better headsculpt given to Outback as a detriment of sort, because the headsculpt is actually too well done for that mold and it makes it looks even more goofy, at least in my opinion. Pipes is a brilliant executed remold.

Great review, Patriot! I had two or three of these when I was a kid, so it's cool to revisit.

being from the 70s and about 14 when Transformers came out I always laughted at the name Huffer as it was slang term for somoeone who did inhaleants or huffed chemical vapers ....

Outback is my favorite 86 minibot

I always felt they left hubcap out due to him looking like bumblebee, dispite him being a remolded cliffjumper

My favorite is pipe and outback G1 mini bots rules

Some years back i realized my original Windchargers arms pull out then they move down, but Tailgate doesnt have that step.

I remember playing with Brawn when I was a kid and never realizing that he was the official bot. I always thought he was some ko that was trying to look like Brawn., I mean, gobots looked better than him lol.

I only need 3 minibots Cliffjumper, Wiindcharger and Seaspray

Another fun and excellent review, brother! I liked all of those Mini-bots, except for Wheelie whose figure is a $#!tty dumpster fire 🔥... 😅😅😅😅😅😅 I'm hoping you'll do a video restoring Tailgate, cleaning him up, applying his chrome and, of course, Toyhaxing him up...

You know it really grinds my gears when a reviewer says an alt mode is the same when they compare them and there is a glaring difference right in front of you on camera! Have a look at the front grills of Brawn and Outback when you’ve got a moment….😉
