So many New England fans have been muting the TV and playing the radio during games for years, that's how it was in my house growing up. When Gino and Gil retired I thought those days were over but in comes Zo! It's like wait, Bledsoe's backup was hilarious? And pretty much the man? Love it! Never change Zo!
Zolak’s line, “You can have your Manning, I’ll keep my Brady” in 2013 comeback from 24-0 against Denver on Monday night football. Awesome Unicorns, show ponies, where’s the beef is another classic.
My favorite line is from the year of of Superbowl 49 in the game against the colts. When Blount was just running wild. Scott says " one day you gotta tell that bully that ur not gonna get pushed around anymore. But until then that bully is gonna find you everyday in that school yard
@6:33 the best Pats Super Bowl team we’ve had. Yup. The defense is the most exciting we’ve had. Our offensive talent is very dispersed against a bunch of guys. This may be an awesome game, if you’re a Patriots fan.
ive been looking at rams footage and it does not look like people are getting open easily vs that secondary. brees had to make some tuff throws just to score 23 points. i would have rather faced the saints
@@supersomebody101 The big difference is I think the Pats O-line and their running game is going to wear the smallish Rams' D-line out, doing a lot of sweeps, and Brady will then start picking apart a gassed Rams' D at that point. I do agree with you about the Rams' secondary, but I think they too will tire, as Talib is no spring chicken anymore.
Mike S...the game worries me. Jared goff looks real good. He’s throwing dimes and reminding me of how nick foles looked when we couldn’t force one punt. I don’t trust bill’s defensive game plans
I love how Rich is now gonna act like he didn’t endorse the "deflategate" phenomenon but I remember calling in and debating him on the topic. This man slandered the Patriots through the entire thing.
Brady down 25-3 to Atlanta said "we knew we had them, we could tell the defense was tired, the middle of the field was muddy, so we decided to go outside."
It annoys me thinking about when Brady finally does fall off the "cliff," a little bit, even if he's 50, Kellerman and the other cliff people are going to act like they were so damn prescient.
I like Zo on the pre and post game shows, but not as a radio announcer. I've never liked over the top homer announcers even for my own team. Give me Gil and Gino any day.
I predicted and commented on week 4. Pats vs Rams So Let's f go...!!! Go pats... True Patriot and always be... And ofcourse I believe in Tom F Brady!! Psycho Tom coming for the 6th one... Beep beep haters... your nightmare is here.
The refs work for the NFL, if the NFL was so outraged by that absolutely crooked non call, on the pass interference, and they wanted to get it right, they would suspend those refs, and investigate why they refused to throw a flag, in such a critical game deciding play, they could restart that game the next day or the second day from the exact point of the penalty, with the same amount of time left on the clock, saints ball at the five yard line, and let them run the clock down to near zero, and kick the high % field goal, this way the NFL shows it’s fair and has integrity. The deserving team goes to the super bowl... but NOOOOO,, The NFL wanted the rams in the Super Bowl, they wanted to reinvigorate that gigantic LA market, this makes 100% sense, it’s the most logical conclusion, and it’s definitely not the first time the league has determined outcomes... if they would have allowed this criminal play to happen early in the game , the saints would have had plenty of time to recover, Time was running out so something drastic had to be done, Another thing they need to do is especially during playoffs and super bowls, is allow challenge flags for all plays, give the teams five each, this way if the saints could h@ve thrown a challenge flag, they re-examine the play carefully, and still call no penalty....... this would expose the NFL for what it is, crooked,,,, They fix games when it’s profitable to do so,,, the reason some plays aren’t challengable , is because the refs would have fewer opportunities to fix games, this is the real world
If saints are up 10 that missed call dosen't change the outcome. As far as allowing a challenge for any type of play, you might as well not have refs on the field at all and call the game from a video booth using all the technology we have now. I'm sure there is corruption and influence in the league but I don't think this single miss call was suspicious of that or we would have seen more of them earlier in the game
Saints suck di** they got the ball in ot and didnt do sh**. Also the refs missed a facemask on Goff the drive before. There is no deserving to go to the sb the saints lost their not in it deal with it
I certainly miss listening to the legend Gil Santos. I may be in the minority here when I say I don't like his color commentating on the radio. Scott Zolak is such a homer. Rarely gives credit to other teams on good plays. He makes stupid sounds on good plays as they are happening. Go's over the top when the Patriots make a good play. I would much rather listen to announcers that have a bias opinion to the teams playing. I really like listing to the games on the radio but Scott Zolak takes the joy out of it for me.
@The Mind Is A Powerful Thing: First thing, I am a football fan. Second, The Patriots and all Boston sports teams are the only teams I have ever rooted for in my 40++ years. Born and raised and living in New England. The homer sports commentators are the worst for me. Scott Zolak being the king of homers now. The sounds he makes as plays are developing and his rants after the plays, are awful for me. Rarely giving credit to the other team reading or making a play. I'd rather listen to most games than watch but he makes it tough for me. IMO Dale Arnold, Jerry Remmy, are good bias sports commentator. He should take a few lessons from them.
I still like the Rams to upset. Great staff there too and a lot of talent to tinker with for McVay. It's not going to be like against the Chiefs. Sorry to say this, but Reid is not cut out for playoff football. His team this time had twice the talent of the Pats AND a great young QB and still lost. And I think it's him.
Rich Eisen, seems like you are always apologizing to the Pats! Everytime I watch your program, there is a moment where you will turn words or situations around concerning the Pats.
Horace Ball - His passer rating is slightly lower than Tom Brady but if I had guess, I’d say it was more a product of time he played him rather than a lack of skill.
You would think there would be more like him in NE, but there's a handful of anti-ball washer radio hosts around. They seem to think hating on Pats will get you better ratings.
@@ironiczombie2530 they dont' seem to think, in fact they know it gets them better ratings. it's pats pajama wearing bobos like you that drive felger and mazz to the top. and i appreciate them. sports talk radio across the country is trash compared to them. be grateful.
Love the line about how if there’s not strip sack they win the Super Bowl last year. Jesus. There WAS a strip sack and you lost. He’s a good analyst, but pretty insufferable in interviews. No the Patriots shouldn’t have won that Super Bowl. The Eagles were better almost all night and their defense stopped the Pats offense. Shut up and give credit where it’s due.
I love Zo! This guy really is knocking it out of the park. When Gil retired I was bummed out because he was the best to do it and aside from the play by play guy, I like to put the radio on and mute the tv during games. Zolak is also the only guy that I have seen talk to Belichick for more than 5 mins in an interview setting without Bill looking like he'd rather put his hand in a woodchipper. He is by far the best of Boston sports radio and besides Paul "Fitzy" Fitzgerald, he's the best Pats fan commentator.
@@eem71MetalRules yeah I know about his multiple personally issues. Lol. Still he's great and it would be pretty cool if both of them were calling games. Just don't know who would do the play by play because they both would be having to much fun with the color. 😂
He's in-house though, and they probably know each other. I doubt very much that Bill in any way sees him as just a member of the evil media. Plus he knows football, which is obviously the way to Bill Bellichick's heart here. Most of the media don't, and write about football as if it was a soap opera. I can understand why he hates them.
I thought nobody could replace Gino Cappelletti as radio "color man" for Patriots broadcasts, but "Zo" is doing a fantastic job at it albeit in his own unique way. Too bad they get preempted up here in Maine by the national broadcast for the Playoffs.
Bam and ditto! Zolak great the other guys on 98.5 just whine to get listeners juiced up and mad. I turn the TV down and Zo up on game day. Don’t listen to 98.5 any more, other than game day. Seamus
Zo has a stream of consciousness that is a bit crazy. he doesn't really think about anything that he says and you realize this when you listen to his radio show. He has great football knowledge but when he talks about other stuff he kind of goes off the rails. its interesting listening.
