The 2024 NFL Draft is less than a week away, and Patriots fans still have no clue what the New England Patriots will do with the 3rd overall pick. Patriots draft rumors are cloudy with the potential Patriots trade back from the 3rd pick, or they stay put and draft a quarterback. The QBs in play are: North Carolina’s Drake Maye, LSU’s Jayden Daniels, and Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy. The Washington Commanders had all three of those top NFL Draft quarterback’s in for their visit on the same day, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Jayden Daniels was not happy with that decision, and wanted it to just be a meeting of him and the Commanders. Jayden Daniels NFL Draft rumors point towards the former Heisman winner not wanting to be drafted by the Washington Commanders.
The Will Cain show did a 2024 NFL Mock Draft, and they reported that the New England Patriots prefer Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy over Drake Maye. Reportedly, Patriots GM Eliot Wolf isn’t high on North Carolina QB Drake Maye, and would consider trading down or selecting J.J. McCarthy if the first two picks in the draft were Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels.
