Great topic! What’s your take on recognizing left vs right side strength & flexibility differences in horses and using flexions/counter flexions for improving their balance & straightness? But careful not to over flex the horse too much that can compromise their straightness & and eventually their soundness. Is this something talked about in the working ranch horse discipline?

If you are riding your horse in collection correctly you shouldn't be pulling on the reins or holding the horse in position although if riding english you should have a light contact rather than the loose western style rein. If you're pulling or holding the horse in position you are doing it wrong and only the head will be in position which I see far too often.
