I was only 6 years old when she died in the plane crash, but she was one of my favorite singers, and one of the few country singers. I still love her to this day. (Jan Griffiths).
3 days old when she passed, her voice haunts my dreams to this day, loved her at 3 days Until now! Awesome voice and beautiful woman! No one will ever compare to you! No one!
8/30/23 Well, went out back to see the beautiful Blue Moon shinin’. It’s lighting up the back yard like a spotlight and the cicadas are singing. Had to honor this night by listening to our Patsy Cline as another super blue moon like this ain’t coming round again til 2037. I’ll be a lot older, (if I’m lucky)😉& I’ll still be listening to this once in a lifetime voice.
This song always impacts me deeply…Patsy always sang with so much soul. There’s never going to be another Virginia Hensley…or another Patsy Cline. My kids both fell asleep to old Patsy cassette tapes as infants. They just plain wore out but then we got CD’s.
Blue moon of Kentucky, keep on shining Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue Blue moon of Kentucky, keep on shining Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue But it was on one moonlight night, stars shining bright Whispered on high, your lover said, "Goodbye" I said, blue moon of Kentucky, keep on shining Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue Blue moon of Kentucky, keep on shining Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue Blue moon of Kentucky, keep on shining Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue Well, it was on that moonlit night, stars shining bright Whispered on high, your lover said, "Goodbye" I said, blue moon of Kentucky, keep on shining Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue
I love Patsy cline with all my heart I sing her music at karaoke And on karaoke at home Long time fan since iborn raised Up I'm fourtyfive now I always be fan Of patsy's and lorrettas
Patsy was so amazing. It fills my with joy her best friend was Loretta Lynn. The best women in country music history. Sorry Reba. She's a close second.
I don't understand why the Jordaners choir is heard so low and the singer's boz so loud. In the recordings with Elvis the choir had more prominence sometimes too much.
