My MBA is kicking in. For any new venture, you musty first identify a need (or deficiency) in the market place. In this case, I do not see any need in the market place. In fact, I see the opposite - an over-supply.

My concern with these extra gents clubs is they will start to loose their uniqueness and become like the other bars and become a ripoff, they were a little unknown treasure and I hope they stay the same.

Well, I had a few ideas pop into my head but here are two for fun: - Rouge (since our entrepreneur friend is French Canadian) - Venus I think I'll enjoy visiting his club if only because I really love the LED lighting.

Agree with the other poster that it looks like it will resemble Heaven Above. I think the idea of hybrid clubs is dangerous from a business standpoint as customers never quite figure out where the focus is (i.e. gogo, GC, beer bar). High Rollers as a hybrid club on Soi Pothole has survived but in my experience, I never know what the rules are with regards to the staff there. Eden Club in Treetown was another club that tried to be all things to all mongers but sadly didn't survive. I wish Peter luck though and hope it's a success.

Great location. Lots of foot traffic. I stayed at the adjacent soi ( which is a dead end) for a few months last year. I can't imagine what the rent is on that building. You'd hope all that competition would drive down prices but that doesn't seem to be the way in Thailand.

really feels like that guy are in way over his head, and that he lacks all experience and charisma to open a bar..well time will tell..hope he succeeds.. but nowdays whole pattaya redlight scene is suffering and getting smaller.. Exept the "asian men" only karaokeclubs..that are full of the most beautiful young girls in the "buisness" and east asian men that dont even care if the pay 10k or 15k baht for a st...

I’m curious about a few things… first-do the guys living there miss their families, grandchildren, etc? Or have they broken off contact due to issues? Although the aspect of cheap sex with no commitments is a reason to visit, is it enough to move there? Second-what happens as the men get older and unable to care for themselves? Would they just hire a 24 hour lady or go back to their home country? It just seems like a lonely existence; unless you have a group of friends there. Thanks.

Why oh why do RU-vidrs insist on filming in 60fps irrespective of where they are? The reason that video cameras (and phones) have different frame rates is that there are (only two) different mains frequencies around the World. If you’re filming in a country with 50Hz mains (like Thailand or most of the World) you should be filming in 25 or 50fps. In the USA (like hardly anywhere else except the Philippines or half of Japan) you should use 30 or 60fps. Failing to get this right means that every time you get predominantly fluorescent lighting, or cheaper LED stuff that oscillates in luminescence with the mains frequency, then you’ll get flicker in the video. This one nearly gave me an epileptic fit. Daz. For the love of God, please change your frame rate to 25 or 50fps and leave it there (unless you go to a 60Hz country). It will make absolutely no discernible difference to your footage (compared to 30 or 60 respectively) to any other aspect of your filming other than where artificial lighting is present. When it is, it will avoid the flickering and make it look like you know what you are doing….
