Thanks for the update Daz!! It was a challenge to find a seat at times so MM definitely needed to expand, which is awesome. However, the pool table has been placed dead center of your main traffic flow between both halves of the bar!?!? Plus there's a drink counter right next to it!! How are you supposed to take a shot from that side of the table?? If there are a greater number of people in the bar, they are going to have to walk past the pool table and interrupt any game going on at the moment to get from one side to the other. That needs a rethink IMO.
Beautiful place. Great taste and those curtained off sections add a lot. Coming in February for 5 weeks total. Don't drink, so haven't gone in a bar in Pattaya but this place looks like a must to have some fun.
This pattaya high season has the most ridiculous gogo bar prices I've ever seen, even worse than anything I've seen in bangkok. Average looking girls that worked a few years ago at a beer bar with 400 bf + 2k st are now working in walking street asking 2k bf + 6k lt + minimum 10 drinks. It's getting comical you should do a video on it.
which place was that?!? I agree though Walking Street is a place where mugs get mugged. I will go there for entertainment value and a few drinks but pass on all the extras

I’m sorry, and this just me, but I think smoking should be prohibited. I was a smoker myself and it is very hard to stop. It took me 3x to break it and it is sooo harmful to you and everybody else. Now I would say just leave it if it only hurt you but harms everyone. The cigarette smell gets into everything and you need a full remodel to get rid of it. Also, think how expensive it is. I won’t discuss it further because people can you what they want but wow! In North America, smoking is allowed but not in bars and restaurants and people have been quitting on their own for many years. I think the smoking rate for adults is less than 20%. I think in the next 20 years it will disappear. It will take lots more time in Asia.

I think he meant it's 300 baht to have the curtain closed with your new friend to have a quick bit of fun. It's not 300 baht just to sit on the sofa. Or alternatively for a s/t room upstairs it's 400 baht.
If you are thinking about renting a hotel or a condo along Jomtien Beach … please don’t waste your money, unless you like the sound of illegal fireworks that are set off by drunken and disorderly individuals until three or four or five in the morning … EVERY NIGHT! You will not sleep one night without it being disrupted by the constant barrage of illegal fireworks that penetrate every corner in every room. And the authorities don’t seem to care because there are no patrols, I have not seen one citation or any action taken to prevent these people from this horrible and disruptive activity. If you are expecting to have a tranquil and peaceful night in Jomtien… Forget it. My recommendation is that you book somewhere else or you will regret it.
was in mm backm in april only thing that i don't like to the new set up is the high tables that were behind curtains the girls would sit on them now that they are gone your bound to a sofa
I just noticed the one of the help light up a cigarette. Never really thought people would smoke inside the bars.? Is that legal and a common practice in the bars?
The refurbished bar looks good and all was going well for me until..... the manager lights up a fag. Surely the bar doesn't allow smoking inside? That's a real negative for me and many others.
I was there earlier this month. The tpund pool table was in a different place I think. Kind of inside the new part.. Does the pool have curtains now.. wow a first. But yeah the rustic feeling needs to be back.

Im sorry your experiencing this nonsense. You should let YT know that you're aware of it. It may be a problem on their end and they aren't aware of it yet. On a more positive note I enjoy all your videos and look forward to them as I will be moving there for a year to see how i like it in the near future so thanks for taking the time to share them with us 👍
What can I say ....doesn't look like a proper gentleman's club to this boomer.........yet am used to Kinaree and a couple others where actual rooms with showers are available... Admit never been in MM as I like a bit of discretion when having fun with a lady. To each their own, wish them all the best. Chaiyapoon has something for everyone! Always fun there !
In the Philipines, they drink a lot of San Miguel Flavoured Beer - the one with apple taste is a bit like cider and only 3% - wonder why it has not yet got to Thailand?

As soon has I seen him light up I knew it was a place I will never go in and why is smoking still allowed in bars same as buzzing bar over the road I would never go in, but Le pub none smoking I would no problem stay there for while but I'm not the best customer anymore as I no longer drink alcohol.
Smoking is s disgusting habit and to smoke within a bar in Thailand is against the law, the smokers take the piss as they know they cannot do it in their own country ! Filthy
Agree totally with @jasontaylor. I watched the video, and thought great place will go there when I get to Pattaya. Changed my mind instantly when I saw the smoker, big shame.
While I am sure everyday is different, my experience in Thailand or Pattaya is while smoking is allowed there are none to just a very few partaking of it at any given bar or club. Easy enough to sit away from them IMO.
Whoever doesn't like the smell of cigarette smoke,there's no need to have a cry about it.Don't go to the bars that allow smoking inside. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
Daz ,the new Maggie mays looks very nice as it is , they are doing a great job , when they finally finish the upstairs it should be great for them , daz , on a personal note , I have never been to a gentleman’s club before , it was a bar or a gogo when I was a frequent visitor before , I am am a little apprehensive as what to expect ?.?, I don’t want to come in to a vipers nest buddy and spend thousands of baht ,I hope that you understand
Read the reviews on GCs, I have done many, if I recommend a place, you can be 100% sure it's not a vipers nest rip off. The thing you need to know, is that GCs are about half way between a beer bar and GoGo, and very good value for money.

Could anyone give me some advice please? Im planning a trip in March 2024. Obviously I will book my flight first and accomodations. I was planning a week in Bangkok and a week in Pattaya. do i need to fill out a visa application and send it somewhere? or just hand carry with me in the airport. I have a new passport. Steven…just a thought on the space….when you extend the bar…will the pool table cause a “bottleneck “ between the 2 spaces? Would it make more sense to move the pool table to the very back of the NEW space…still visible from the bar/entry and would lead people onto the new space rather than bottle necking? IMHO 😎
It's worth asking Daz to come in at the end of every building project to help decide the last few outstanding questions. He had a big influence on the Catflaps upstairs amenities and this time was the casting vote on the round pool table location.
