The Sanctuary represents the harmony between religions, philosophy and art.
The museum is created by Lek Viriyaphant, a Thai businessman and architect. He designed and built the structure as a tribute to ancient Thai architecture and culture. In fact it is a blend of architecture, philosophy, Hinduism and Buddhism. It stands 105 meters tall and constructed entirely from wood, without a single nail in it. Construction started in the year 1981 and still going on. It has intricate carvings ,sculptures stunning halls, cultural shows offering a glimpse into Thailand's rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions. It is built on a sea beach and has a breath taking view.
The museum has become an iconic structure of Thailand and attracts millions of tourists worldwide. Entry fee is 500 Baht which includes a free guided tour in several languages in batches. A must visit place in Pattaya.
