In this episode of my speedrun series, I focus on playing principled chess, highlighting the critical importance of pattern recognition and tactical vision. I play two games, demonstrating how understanding patterns can lead to powerful moves and winning strategies. In the second game, I recognized a very cool pattern early on and predicted the entire sequence before it even unfolded on the board!
Pattern recognition is a vital skill for any aspiring chess player, helping you spot tactical opportunities, anticipate your opponent’s plans, and convert advantages into victories. Join me as I explain my thought process and how I use this skill to outplay opponents and climb the rating ladder.
If you’re looking to improve your chess through solid principles and sharp tactics, this episode is for you! Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell for more content.

I love that commentary at 10:00! This channel has an extremely high IPM (Insights Per Minute).

600s don't resign after losing their queen since their opponent is also 600 and will probably blunder theirs back very soon

Thank you very much for this lesson! I own one or two of your Chessable courses and am very fond of your humorous way of teaching chess, because much of it remains in (my) memory.

For the Algorithm. Thanks again for the input on the Qc2 Nimzo. Another reason I’m slow at chat is because I take notes when you are kind enough to look at a game for me. Have a great weekend.
