Well he did give himself a mulligan with Ultra Necrozma, the same way Jaiden let herself redo the elite 4. So it’s fitting they’d both be glitchy. Not a ‘clean’ run. Regardless, absolutely incredible animation, and he succeeded in making that final fight feel epic
The glitch during the end credits fight is a reference to how the Ultra Moon run was ended by a Litten, and now the final Pokemon in the Ultra Sun run is an Incineroar.
I think the Giratina is referencing to Jaiden's Platinum run where she loses, but she gets another chance from her chat. So like maybe this is referring to the Necrozma lost, which makes it a, "False Run"
It's cheap just to get a "second" chance cus that's the only rule of a nuzlocke but it's undestandable in the end cus they live of the content. Kinda wish poketubers were more like folagor03 when he loses in a locke it's just over no second tries.
He won. If you watch his short about this nuzlock video he talks about how easy this last fight was, so to make the video more exciting he turned it into the ending credits and did higher animation like you see in some animes. It totally worked on me. I thought those glitches was him doing a Jaiden Animations reference and he lost here, but no. He killed it. I like this way better because I will rewatch this video so much because it's so cool
@@Luigicat11that kinda is a good reference tho because jaiden said she lost the elite 4 so she made it glitchy like theres another world where she lost, yongyong also lost in another world and jaiden animation in the past lost to garchomp, same in here he lost to incineroar
@@Exposer20248she actually lost to rhyperior as it killed her garchomp and quagsire. Also lost her tote kiss to bugsy and rest of her Pokémon were weak to flint
19:40 "Hardly anything is evil. But most things are hungry. Hunger looks very like evil from the wrong end of the cutlery. Or do you think that your bacon sandwich loves you back?" Necrozma's just really hungry for light.
Yeah but they did that with giratina they wouldn't do the same plus it mentions it's sadistic and has a reason to do this it want revenge on the people in its universe it did and then got obsessed but then again the lore is intentionally wrong at time like giratina but it could be like eternatus just gotta do it
Yong made a short on the final battle perantly Hau was easy as bricks so he decided to make the fight seem more interesting for the video and honestly he did a good job very entertaining
12:55 water bubble halves the damage of fire moves (like thick fat), Makes you immune to burn (like water veil), and doubles the power of your water moves (like huge power, but only for Water moves)
Mimikyu was my savior in the ultra necrozma fight. The power of friendship allow it to survive two fatal blows and roto-power allow me to do two “let’s snuggle together” attacks.
The totem mimikyu really be like. "Hi new friend. Thanks for playing with me in my room that doesn't exist. Here's my z-crystal." ... this is why I love mimikyu. MY CHILD! *_chara please release some you literally have 5 boxes full of mimikyu._* HISS NO
Patterz confidently stating that he hasn't met anybody who likes tropius despite it being one of the most loved single stage pokemon is crazy. I haven't seen anybody who doesn't until now.
15:37 Those were the Travelers from Genshin, they are essentially the player character, and yes they have official names. Those being Aether and Lumine respectively, and hence the jokes that were being pitched.
Young Yong is so underrated!! He comes across as such a sweetheart, and his animation and storytelling keep getting better and better!! Also, I’m gonna be one of several of ‘That Bitch’ in the comments, bc I love Tropius. It doesn’t have to be any good at fighting to be a favorite 🥺
Bro I love the reference in the last battle being Akaza and Rengoku from Demon Slayer and it’s actually hinted at when you first see Incinaroar pull up in Akazas pose and the fight between it and Golisopod (one of my favorite bug types) where you see it use a rapid punch attack like akaza
LMFAO! I find it funny that you said Zorak, He was my favorite pokemon during this game, I accidentally cheesed it by making it think I was a poison type so It kept doing phy attacks but sense I was secretly dark it didn't do anything lol
I must also join the support for my boy Tropius. Loved the design since his debut, just wish he was more viable. So many weaknesses... and don't let it near an Ice-type x.x
I sort of did this. At the time Ultra Moon was boring to me since I just played Moon. Didn’t even leave the first island. Ultra Moon is now one of my favorite Pokémon games. Shout out to Talonflame and Ribombee for being my only Pokémon to survive the champion fight.
I really didn't understand the struggle with Ultra Necrozma 🤣. I played through with Incineroar and Vikavolt and together using Bug Buzz and the Z-Move for Darkest Lariat, I beat it in like, three turns I think.
Pretty sure the ending is either a teaser for A, a Platinum/PLA video or B, a Jaiden collab (like maybe a Soul Link or something) because of all the other RU-vidr references in the video as well as the obvious parallel to Jaiden’s Platinum nuzlocke
I think the Giratina at the end of video is foreshadowing a Platnium Nuzlocke. His inspiration was JaidenAnimation's Platinum run, so it only makes sense.
Fun fact: If built properly, a Ledyba with 0 HP IVs can survive Ultra Necrozma's Power Gem without a berry and one-shot it with a crit Bug Buzz. It took an hour of calcs, but I managed to make it work. EDIT: Forgot to clarify, no Eviolite either. It had a Scope Lens for said crit. HP EVs are INSANELY busted.
I love hearing people complain about Ultra Necrozma when I was already using a Zoroark that happened to be disguised as my Salazzle and had Foul Play. Loki really did a lot and turned that fight into a joke.
Luckily when I first played usum (it was a blind playthrough) during the Ultra Necrozma fight I had a Zoroark since Zorua is my favorite Pokémon, so that fight was incredibly easy.
I've already seen this video and Young Yong did a amazing work in this video of Ultra Sun & Moon games. It's by far my favorite video of his on his channel and gen 7 is personally one of my favorite Pokemon games. I especially love the epic battle ending between him and Ha-Jagger Jimbob Jiao, Incineroar looks so f***ing awesome.
30:36 Oi! Tropius is a winged dinosaur that I’ve liked since Pokémon Emerald. Plus with Gen 10’s gimmick, it’s a solid mixed attacker. Give it some credit Daniel.
the original video is fantastic and so well made so seeing more reactions to it is so fun, especially ones from someone awesome like patterz, who I have to give crazy props to for not only watching the sponsor segment (which already most reactors wouldn't do) but actively encouraging and making it easier to use thier sponsor code, Thats a real standup move.
MandJTV likes Tropius. He acknowledges how bad it is and says he wishes it was better. He really likes Tropius because it’s based on his favorite dinosaur.
I mean, when I beat Ultra Necrozma, I had Decidueye use Sinister Arrow Raid, and land a crit. Poor guy was left alive on 3HP from one attack by this monster. Normally, I despise the power of Friendship as a trope - and this has been the only time I’ve been OK with it. Ever.
42:30 hinokami kagura and the end bit with Golisipod was Water breathing or at least a similar interpration of it. Either way it's so cool he added those
water bubble does three things, adds water stab that stacks with water stab, immunity to burn, and grants resistance to fire(as it didn't have that being part bug type)
I was lucky enough that Zoroark is my favorite pokemon and i always use it wherever its available on a new playthrough so i had no problem with Ultra Necrozma
i think the glitch at the end with giritina is like the end of jaiden's platinum run where in that universe she won, but in a parallel universe she lost, and that was what was meant meant to happen
For me Lurantis called a Castform that kept putting up Harsh Sunlight, making Synthesis even more broken, and making Solar Blade take one turn to charge-
vikavolt has 500bst, which is the same as heracross, scyther, and pinsir, and usually you only find those later on or rarely, so they made the... decision... to make the evo location gated. it's also the strongest starting bug since leavanny.
When i first fought Ultra Necrosma i literaly just toxic stalled it with a hippowdown i caught in ultra space, using the sand as well to chip more damage off
Whenever gen 10 gets released, I'm fully planning to play it blind. The only thing I might look up are the max level of gym leaders' pokemon so I know what my level caps should be.
I didn’t know Ultra Necrozma was coming, but since Zoroark is my favorite Pokémon, by happenstance I got a 0 damage victory after back to back friendship crit Night Dazes. So that was fun.
About the Sponsor YoungYongTales had for the video, Battle Cats, I figured it was actually perfect since Wall Cat exists and looks straight from a YoungYong video
