Yup. Honestly, Scizor has the potential to destroy fluttermane and screamtail, and then brute bonnet and roaring moon are weak to the whole team. so it makes sense.
@@Lilpenguino1028if you hit a mon with powder, its a "powder" state. If the mon uses a fire move, it fails and the move explodes in its face. Sorta like confusion but once.
Bugsy managing to take that many wins against Sada makes a lot of sense. His Scizor alone bodies much of her team with Swords Dance and X-scissor. Her team has very few bug resists, and the only mon on Sada's team that can hit Scizor for super-effective damage is Flutter Mane with Mystical Fire, but it's never going to get that off because Technician Bullet Punch just deletes it.
The start was making me go crazy because the ranking was going from 10-1 worst (least awful to most) yet Pat was acting like it was going 1-10 worst (most awful to least)
I've been telling my friends about how genuinely insane leons team is and this is proof of that huge thank you to smith for that and another huge thank you to pat cause I know I wouldn't have seen the original video
Leon's team is weird because it's changes depending on your starter (the two fire starters if you choose rillaboom made him an absolute cake walk with me only using very early game Pokémon like drednaw and boltund)
18:35 When you fight Whitney for the first time you might not be prepared for her and the options for your team are limited. By the end of the game you have a far stronger team with many more options.
AAYYY letsgoo, meal with Patterz video time (also the first ten spots of the video were counting down to last place, so kiawe was the best of the bottom 10)
Bro is not listening or seeing the numbers bro literally said that kiawe is the worst when the video literally was counting the button ten from best to worst
I'm fairly certain lore wise Champions have Champion challenge teams which is the team they used to beat the Champion when they ascended to hold the title so even if they get stronger and catch more pokemon they can't change the Pokemon for their team when you fight them.
Kinda surprised that Patterz missed a specific detail that he did pay attention to when it was under a W/L of less than one... meanwhile doesn't notice when #2 had a 7.79 W/L ratio, and #1 has a W/L of 11.107... that's a MASSIVE leap especially when you consider that #3's team has a W/L of 7.541..so lemme put that into a bit more perspective with a handy little top 5 W/L ratio RECAP: 1. 11.107 2. 7.79 3. 7.541 4. 6.512 5. 6.415 Now here's the differences between the top 5 and an honorary 6th>5th differential, just to show how MASSIVE that leap to #1 is: 1st and 2nd: 3.317 2nd and 3rd: 0.249 3rd and 4th: 1.029 4th and 5th: 0.097 5th and 6th: 0.165 To give you another skip between 1st and 2nd and only using 5th place as the hop-off point once more it requires a leap to 16th place. 5th to 16th place is a differential of 3.333 between W/L ratio... that is the closest you can get to 3.317 too, go up to 15th, it drops too far from 3.317, and if you go one place further away from 3.317 at 3.342 differential in W/L ratio. AGAIN, to duplicate the closest DIFFERENTIAL to 3.317 from 5th place and moving from the top 5 slots, YOU HAVE TO HOP OVER to 16th place at 3.333 W/L ratio difference! That's 11 places from the 5th top trainer! and 1st does it in a SINGLE jump up from 2nd place! SERIOUSLY! It's an incredible feat to pull that off! Just wanted to bring attention to this, as a general like... that's an amazing achievement and it deserves to be acknowledged! PS- for 2nd to land the closest ratio that going from 2nd to 1st is 2nd and 10th place with it being 3.236, going to 11th brings you MUCH further away, at least in the leaps at the W/L ratio difference being 3.478. So, closest feat for 2nd to pull that ratio off, only happens when you compare 10th's W/L to 2nd's W/L... that's how much of a leap you have to make between 2nd to replicate the VAST difference between 1st's W/L and 2nd's W/L ratio.
@3clisp315 yeah, I actually found Bugsy's set on Bulbapedia and found which one would've been likely used since y'know, kinda glossed over... and uh, yeah, the biggest problem for Bugsy woulda been Sandy Shocks and then only 2 Pokes could down her final 'Mon, which would be Scizor or Yanmega... Apologies, but I spent like 3 hours going over how Bugsy could pull out 43 wins, and only the Scizor with a flying move could take a Low Kick, sweep her entire team until Sandy and then it's like "well the 2 'Mons with EQ would logically be the only method of near-guaranteeing a win on that and either Scizor or Yanmega would have to kill the final one."
Shout-out to the true GOAT Kingdra for being so present in the upper half of this list, a consistently good and underrated mon that isn't a pseudo or a legendary level mon
also Iron Hands, Iron Crown, Iron Bundle is Violet’s Flutter Mane, Iron Valiant, and also Iron Moth saw a lot more usage in recent months so the Iron mons are not really that behind, and it’s not like the Ancient mons have a few lesser outliers of their own.
It wasn’t really fair to use the battle chateau game for the Kalos leaders if they only have two Pokemon in the format. They should pick the team with the most Pokemon, and if there’s multiple teams tied for it then the one with the higher levels.
That would mean Valerie with Mr. Mime, Wulfric with Cryognal, Olympia with Sigyliph, Ramos with Jumpluff and Clemont with Emolga. I still think they would still lose
18:35 every time someone talks about morty my brain goes “Morty who?” As a joke because he is in my opinion one of the most forgettable Pokémon characters
I think the main reason Future Paradox Pokemon haven't been played as much competitively is because their ability is harder to activate compared to the Past Paradox Pokemon.
As weak as the XY gym leaders are, I still love them all 10x more than any other characters. Their puzzles are great and it was the first Pokemon game I beat.
At the beggining he was doing the bottom 10 from least to most terrible, so no, Arcanine did not rank lower than the Kalos losers. *Spoilers* Also if you you think about it, Sada losing so much to Bugsy makes sense. Bullet punch and Flutter Mane is down, and after that the rest of her team doesn’t have a great bug matchup.
Dont forget that the top 2 are AI's so in term of strongest human, its truely the undefeated champion leon which is impressive. His title is true and its now a fact.
Patterrz, i wanna let you know, i was able to defeat Flannery in PokeRogue with just a serperior with coil, magical leaf, giga drain, and leaf blade. i wanted to throw, but my serperior said no.
I know it's way late but I was rewatching the Batman and spiderman timeline videos and I would like to request a reaction to "we are the fantastic four a retrospective by b-mask" please it's a great look and one of the most underrated teams in all of comics
Im only five minutes in, i only found out a week ago what unburden does, and im wondering why an unburden mon is on a two mon team, and is the only one without a held item. Why?!
Honestly, Geeta gets way more hate than she should. Like, the fact that you can rematch Cynthia and she has a stronger team doesn't make sense, when she was fighting to defend her title as champion. Any champion from whom you take the title should be using their best team, so when they don't it doesn't make sense. Geeta is very OBVIOUSLY not fighting at her best when you first match her. Yes, she says that she's unable to hold back, so that probably made people think she was trying her hardest. But that has to be just talk, given that other trainers like Nemona have beaten her and she is still considered the "top champion". Paldea, as a place where champion is a rank that anyone can hold rather than a place where there is only one champion, would be super dumb if they had the trainer they considered to be best in the entire region fighting at her absolute best as a test to see if others can attain this rank. The fact that Nemona doesn't claim to be better than Geeta is proof that if Nemona's fight is harder than Geeta's then you weren't fighting Geeta at her best. Obviously, saying things like the fight is too easy in game and you wanted more of a challenge is fine. But trying to say that she's a bad trainer when she's holding back is absurd. It's like saying Brock doesn't deserve a position as a gym leader because there are random trainers in Victory Road who could beat the version of his team you fight for your badge. It doesn't make him a terrible trainer. It makes him a trainer who understands that his job isn't to be a wall preventing anyone from passing. Complaints about Geeta's character design, roll in the story, or wishing that the fight with her were harder are all valid complaints. But if you complain that she's a "bad champion" or "bad trainer" then you don't understand what her job is in Paldea. (Contrast with Diantha, who I love as a character, but I'll admit that she could've been a way better champion, because she WAS defending her title as champion and gave a fairly lackluster performance.)
Lol not gonna lie I'm not sure this is great content but I'll still watch every video because the reactionto the sponsors are HILARIOUS... BTW I'm kidding I'll love the videos but those sponsors are top tier 🤣
I always preferred the idea that there is a World Champion who beat all other Regions and is the best trainer of all Champions. Then The only way to challenge them, is to earn the right to be champion, and battle the other champions
I think base game there is about an equal of number of hits and misses between the two games iron bundle, iron hands and iron moth are all pretty good. I think the main separation between the two is that all 3 of the past form trio are very good and the future trio has iron crown who's good but iron boulder is pretty meh and iron leaves is just bad
19:15 "I wonder where daddy is going to go" woah there.....might need to start a different channel if you want that question answered, lol If someone makes an out of context compilation, this part needs to be in it
I’m very lucky to be allowed to react to these videos so I am happy whenever the original creator is getting paid, and it’s just respectful to not skip any part of the video
I am of the opinion that Cynthia got shafted by luck here. Like looking at the spreadsheet. They are only beaten out by Alder VERY BARELY. And as i went through her results. I saw a TONN of like 70-30's that made NO sense. Like fights i'd guarentee should be 100-0 almost. AT MOST 90-10. I think she jsut got horrible RNG which is possible. I reckon should is 4th or maybe even THIRD on an average roll.
The fact that N's best team has Zekrom on it means that Reshiram was a weak link Also, it's really weird hearing Patterrz keep calling them "Saeda" and "Churro", and just confidently be so wrong when Pokemon is his profession, and we've known Sada is the better of the two for months, why was he surprised?
Giovanni got to use his Rainbow Rocket postgame USUM team. That means the other evil leaders would ALSO get to use their postgame USUM Rainbow Rocket teams. Which while they're only 5 pokemon, do all have a legendary on them, so they'd all rank in the middle third. Just a shame modifiers weren't in place, so it was normal Mewtwo instead of Mega Mewtwo, losing an item slot and an ideal build position for Giovanni, he might have been able to break top-25 as a 5-mon-team if his Mewtwo could have Mega Evolved (and the top 3 might have been shuffled too, with access to GMAX Charizard).
