@@JoCaKeTV You KNOW THEY ARE GOOOOOOOOD. For them to not lose rhythm...as many times as Patti changes chords AND RHYTHM....those women are the best of the BEST!!!
The Sweeties, the Sweethearts of Philly, or the Sweethearts of Sigma Studios. Anything that came out of the Philly Sound in the 70's and 80's most likely this group was on it doing backup vocals.
@@shaungresham4968: During the hey-day of R-&-B, Pop, Soul, Disco, and even Rock, from the late 1950s to the early 1980s, the Sweethearts of Sigma - Carla Benson, Yvette Benton, and Barbara Ingram - came in the Top 3 of female backup singers, right there with the Blossoms (ft. Darlene Love), and my favorites, the Sweet Inspirations (ft. Cissy Houston, Whitney's mom). They JUST DO NOT sing like this anymore.
I see this and I just don't understand how black men treat and speak ill of their women. That passionate love and loyalty that black women have for their men is so amazing.
that is such an important comment man....thank you....she's AMAZING,i saw her in 91 and she asked me onstage and sang to me and we danced while she sang Somebody Loves You Baby...major highlight of my life. I ❤ you Patti.
jeffery lalonde that's cause they don't want confidence in a woman they want docile and a black woman is not going for it and some of them can't take a strong woman
pat gorden... First, I've seen Patti Labelle on concert 7 times. I'm a HUGE fan! Second, I'm laughing because she slays! Even still. So essentially I'm not laughing laughing at her.
When you get in your 30s or later on in your life...you will understand what the words to this song means and understand why she is in the spirit to this song I promise you when you get older U WILL UNDERSTAND...be bless
pat gorden Oh Pat trust me, at 27 yrs. Old I understand! Word from word. How two people can go from lovers to strangers, like they never knew each other, made love 2gether & don't even speak to each other anymore, like complete strangers when it ends in heart ache & pain. I know the feeling all to well & it's definitely "a shame!"
Omg! Patti is my favorite singer! She FEELS her songs and I FEEL them with her. Such an awesome voice and funny! I loved LaBelle and her on her own!❤❤❤
@@ericmoore9999 Its great 👍 And yes dear, this is the Best Female Performance of All Time. If they can't roll on the floor and sing "high notes" they can't compete!🙌🏼
Not only are you beautiful and drop dead gorgeous, your powerful vocals are unfathomed and mystical. Richard Pryor spoke of you in Long Beach in '78 when you opened for him. He too was mystified when he said where does that come from? If you wrote this bc of heartbreak and spirit, this song was from GOD for your endurance, acceptance and YOUR LOVE FOR GOD!!! Powerful lyric at 4:57-5:01,I've had enough, oooh, I ain't gonna take no more, is a royal model that did you write this bc of a lost love? Tha
'Isn't It A Shame', that no one has ever come close to this kind of greatness?? Always capable of giving me the chills, making me laugh and cry in the same song. A LEGEND
Nothing but a Mike and her bare soul and she outperforms ALL of today's stars, equipped with dancers, lighting and explosives! What ever happened to REAL performers like Patti? I can honestly say that in comparison to Patti and the likes; the quality of black talent has diminished to an oblivion! I LOVE ME SOME PATTI!
Sang it Ms. Iconic Patti!! I saw this Tour she let you have it on this song❤❤. That doll baby sounds she does in her voice in the beginning is her way of letting you know she ready to get ignorant ❤😂😂😂😂
Patti just slayed my entire life with this stunning performance!! She is doing the most and Serving the children powerhouse vocals and theatrics!! Everything about this is ICONIC!! The rolling on the floor while singing had me gagging but my favorite is 2:20 the "laugh before you cry" extra-ness!!! MY WIG HAS BEEN SNATCHED!!!! 3:11 otherworldly vocal slayage
Maybe I am missing something, Ms Patti is a legendary Singer/Performer. I believe Ms Patti has been in the business over 50 years and giving her all. It is amazing that Ms Patti is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Ms Patti rolling on the floor with a white dress, and hitting those notes were all mentioned, but did anyone notice how she directed the band while on the floor as well? 😂 I laugh while watching and enjoy it and her voice all at the same time. ❤
PT. This is how it's done. GOD'S CHILD SANG THE THE TRUTH. She is so Raw with grace and passion. I take solace in this Queen*s Paradise of poetry of Life.👸🏿❤🖤💚😪🙃
There aren't many Divas that give there heart and soul to their audience, whether they be the elite celebrity crowd or just plain everyday people. PATTI GIVES HER BEST TO ALL!
THAT IS MY AUNTIE!!! I love Patti Labelle!! She know how to cut up and put on a show!!! Pay attention to around 2:20-2:30 LMAO @ Patti!! NOW THAT IS A PERFORMANCE!!!
All that is Patti in touch with her African Ancestors. The Lady is just so SOULFUL! That RIGHT THERE! That is PURE SOUL! She is singing, moving EVERYTHING FROM THE SOUL!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! WHEW did I say thanks? Isn't it a shame she has not bought this one back out..To me it was one of her best earlier pieces...
