This song hit SO HARD for me when it came out. I was Breaking up with My Husband and Actually talking about Divorce. It's SO SAD but I Love Listening to it. Both of us has since then gone on with our lives "on our own " and have found True Happiness.❤😢❤

He and his voice have made me shiver for decades. Still doing it. I will never get tired of him. And he's a good man to boot. Thank you, Michael MdDonald, for decades of great music and singing. I'm writing this as I listen -- and I have tears roiling down my face. Only you can do that to me.

This song has so many memories, bittersweet ones, when I was 17 years old and it was in the charts at the time and I bought it on vinyl, my first ever serious relationship was coming to an end, I was the one that ended it and hurt him badly which I have never forgiven myself for 32 years on, I cried buckets full of tears every time I walked past him in the street, he was a good guy and treat me right, I cared deeply for him but my love for him had died and a one sided relationship will never work, so after listening to this song after so so long, tonight, it has brought all the memories flooding back, good, bad and very sad, sorry for the boring corny story, I'm getting nostalgic in my old age lol x
