The 80s. What a time to be alive. Some if the greatest movies of all time were made in the 80s as well as the kick ass tunes. It’s sad that the youth of today will never appreciate these movies or the music.

All of Eddie Murphy's movie efforts in the first half of the 1980s are masterpieces. 48 Hours, Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop, no one had it as good as Eddie starting out.
We were blessed in the 80's with so many superb movie soundtracks becoming as popular as the film themselves. BHC, Purple Rain, Flashdance, Footloose, Top Gun, Dirty Dancing, etc... Glad to have been around to enjoy it all!

Summer 2019 - while everybody else had their windows rolled up and A/C cranked in their cars myself and another guy stopped at the lights both enjoyed this song for a moment while I had it cranked and he drove away while laughing like Eddie! Made my day and gave me an excellent memory to draw on!
Seeing this really makes me miss the 80's.... I graduated High School in 1978 and joined the Marines. I was stationed at Camp Pendleton.. Not that far from San Diego, and about an hour and a half from L.A. Great beaches, beautiful weather, HOT girls..... And there was this great dance club at Knott's Berry Farm.... Played all of the great dance songs of the 80's along with dancing with really cute girls..... Ahh...... 😁

As a kid, I watched it more times than I wish to admit. I also recall watching it in theaters with friends, without being accompanied by an adult. Not sure how we got away with it.

I just watched this film and part 2 great movies love their chemistry and the way they worked, love the 80s best era ever to be in great movies, great songs, great comedy, great styles and great people we just don't get that anymore I miss those days.
