+WalterLiddy All the great comedians are/were convinced that they were subpar at best (except for George Carlin, that motherfucker was great and he KNEW IT XD).
Yep. Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope, Dave Chapelle, Jim Norton and so many others regularly mention how they can barely watch other comedians specials, because they´re painfully ashamed of how far behind they see themselves. I guess self-deprecation is a vital part of comedic perspective.
So very sad for Patton, what a terrible tragedy... and poor Alice, being only 7 years old. We're not likely to be hearing from him for a while. Take all the time you need, you've given us all SO much. #StayStrong
My heart truly broke for Patton when I learned of this very sad news. I cannot imagine losing the person you loved who you created a child with. I just hope he and his daughter make it through this.
I love the degree of familiarity they have with each other's acts. Before Patton talks about how having a kid changed his life, he self-consciously acknowledges that it's a cliche because he knows Paul used to do a bit about "the new dad speech" that includes a takedown of that very observation.
your own bed is like your own computer. your bed is full of the scents of you not washing and not cleaning, just as your computer is filled with the malware and google chrome extensions (malware)
Love the series! If possible, could you write how you make the cocktails you feature in the description, or show them being made in future recordings? Big fan of Tompkins, comedy and cocktails so this series really is the trifecta of awesome, just missing that cocktail feature!
I'm still laughing at that 'metal can't touch the darkness inside my head' comment. Patton is one of those guys who is funny all the time, doesn't matter what he's doing.
