Wow, I want to go there so badly. I'd love to have a knowledgeable guide and just pick their brain about everything. Beautiful and fascinating, thank you.

Wow! Such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing. I know that's the taught model: uplifted seabed, but fossils aren't found in the seabed unless there is local catastrophy to bury them rapidly. The model is around the wrong way. Get the students thinking on the possible solution and we may see some very bright thinkers ahead. All the best.

I love learning from your videos! My little kids and I try to put our geology goggles on when we go out and see what stories we come up with. What a beautiful place this is

What a fantastic place and a short journey back to Wairarapa's famed dining experiences Definitely better than Queensland's famed Caernarvon Gorge without the 3 day travelling to get there . NZ has so many fascinating sites that tourists never see.

Good idea! - check the website as it is generally not accessible in the winter months

Looks like it could be a dangerous place if the water rose quickly. Definitely would check weather forecast before going in there aye.

Yep - you can see quite a high water level from driftwood etc in places

I wouldn't be in any hurry to take a proper dip in that water. My two trips through their were punctuated by encounters with dead stock that had fallen into the gorge and died

There seemed to be less dead animals in there than I've seen previously, but yes, good point!

As a ten-year-old, I would have thought this an awesome location. As an over 70yo, I'm thinking "What? They'll be falling over banks and falling into deep holes in that river!"
