Pau Ferro Fretboard Fix for Epiphone

Hello people of the earth!!
Thanks for joining me for more guitar restoration videos! I found a way to get rid of that chalky feeling on your Epiphone Pau Ferro fretboard.
My best guess is that the Epiphone factory in China left the buffing compound residue in the wood pores of the fingerboard. This is how you clean it out and treat the fretboard with an organic mix of linseed oil and beeswax.

That grain filler seems to be commonplace in many Asian guitars. I have a ‘96 Korean Epiphone Casino built by Peerless and it had that grayish color fingerboard. With use and oiling over the years it went away. On new guitars it looks grayish and dry.

This is simply the best way.ive done it to 6 guitars....without a steel brush.use ultralight sandpaper.

That's nuts how that compound on the wood makes the frets feel gritty. I had this on an epi firebird and sold that guitar because no matter how much I polished the frets they never felt glassy.

Great Product and thank you for posting.I wish Stew Mac still sold this in the small 2 fl oz bottle you have in the video. Smallest amount I can find is a full Quart! Again, Thank You for posting this.
