Great reactions to the very unconventional alien film Paul, Sam!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Tara (Blythe Danner) is Gwyneth Paltrow's mom in real life. Tara uses Signourney Weavers line from the film "Aliens" against her "Get away from her, you bitch!"The mountain they come to at the end is the same one from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". Obviously Paul told Spielberg about it.😀
This is a fun movie. You probably didn’t get the joke of the name of Agent Lorenzo Zoil. It’s a play on the title of the 1992 movie LORENZO’S OIL, starring Nick Nolte & Susan Sarandon. I think you also didn’t catch his line “Boring conversation anyway” when he shot his car radio toward the end of the film. It’s a callback to Han Solo’s line in STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE (1977) when he and Luke are rescuing Princess Leia from her cell on the Death Star and he ends the conversation with the Imperial officer who calls after getting an alert about blaster fire in the detention block.
"Boring conversation anyways" is a reference to Han Solo saying the same thing while shooting the console while trying to rescue princess Leia. And of course "get away from her, you bitch!" is a reference to Sigourney saying the same thing in Aliens :)
This one is probably my favorite Simon Pegg/Nick Frost two-hander. And to be fair, the first time I saw this, I also didn't recognize Sigourney Weaver's voice on the radio. Also apparently, you definitely need to see Close Encounters of the Third Kind(1977), as there were a couple references to it here that you didn't seem to pick up on. Other alien flicks I'd recommend: Contact(1997) with Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey; Sphere(1998) with Dustin Hoffman, Sharon Stone, and Samuel L Jackson; and Fire in the Sky(1993) and/or The Fourth Kind(2009) would be good for October.
I haven't seen this film in so many years and I forgot just how entertaining it is. I certainly enjoined your reaction and I even learnt something as I didn't know about the Wilhelm Scream, so thank you for the education!
Yeah, I kinda considered this as a part of the ''Cornetto'' series because of Nick & Simon. And when I saw this movie in the theater, I almost shot soda out of my nose when Paul spoke. My date who I ended up dating for awhile sounded like and kinda looked like Seth Rogen (but with a shaved head). So every time I see this movie I just remember punching Bill in the shoulder pointing madly at the screen like a dork.
Love this movie! It's the perfect buddy road trip Sci Fi Comedy Film! There were talks of a Sequel called PAULS, where our title character was illegally cloned by the government and must team up with his old friends to bring them, his clones, back home to his planet. This was unfortunately cancelled due to lack of interest.
I love this movie. Simon Pegg & Nick Frost know how to make good movies. They're just so fun to watch. I love how they brought it back to the beginning in the Closing Credits(in credit scene). You didn't show any, but I hope you saw them.
Hi Sam yay😊 I got to watch your reaction video to Paul👽🚀🛰 I absolutely love your reaction to this movie I really enjoyed your laughing reaction so much you laugh a lot you have the coolest laugh ever Sam 😄 great job with the reaction, Can't way to see your next reaction video I hope it's Jumanji the next level.
Hey this was really cute! Coming from someone who hates the idea of aliens, well, I would be friends with this one! And I do like your shirt, I'm a Libra, just had a b day in October, so I'm an air sign, and Air Nomad sounds great!🥰🧞♀️💓 (3 boobs! That would be horrible, I'm on the heavier side, and the sweat, or smell from the sweat, would kill me! LOL 😆)
This makes me want to watch shawn of the dead and hot fuzz too. Fun fact! Simon Pegg has one of the best memoirs I've ever read you should check it out!
Awesome finally someone reacting to this Excellent movie. It gets hidden in the shadows of the other movies and I think unfairly so. If you rewatch keep an eye out for the other alien and space themed movies. Loved your reactions 😎 and as you say the world needs more giggles 🤭
So, I've seen Shaun of the Dead, but here's my reactions to the other two: Hot Fuzz: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PXJ4S2UzaaM.html The World's End: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P0WjCAL3AWk.html
The James Web Telescope has shown hundreds of thousands of galaxys. There is no way we are alone. I totally agree 💯. Ancient Hindu texts document alien life and they had ships aka Vimana.
SADLY ... the "big fun twist" at the end with Sigourney Weaver and "the guy on the inside" makes rewatching a bit less fun ... unlike with "visual fun" like in Hot Fuzz.
Love Simon & Nick, but man I wish they’d of gotten someone else instead of Kristen Wiig!! I honestly just don’t understand why people find her funny. She always plays every role the same way, she has since SNL and still does it in movies.
