Thank you for this useful lesson! Actually It’s appreciated efforts. Lately i have been thinking on how monopoly capitalism has badly effected on politics in doing and knowing both ! I think the capitalism in its emerging era, developed the society and shaped the most of it’s good functions in practice such ad stand with democracy, defending on free speech.This turned into opposite in these days, we have trumps! We have the right wing rising and this means regression in it’s ideological thoughts . Why in your point of view this happing ? And thanks in advance
Thanks for watching! I think in some ways we can understand the current political trends as a reaction against the last 40 or so years of neoliberalism. Fortunately it doesn't always manifest itself in right wing politics as we can see in South America for example. In the video after this about Karl Polanyi he uses a concept called the Double Movement to explain this kind of thing. I think it's a fairly convincing argument.
