I agree as well! That album is criminally underrated! It's actually one of my favorite Slayer albums. One of my best buddies is a massive Slayer fan and thats his least favorite album, I dont understand it! I know the band hated it because they said it was rushed and the production wasnt up to snuff but I like it just fine!
Wow, I ran into the one Slayer thread with a my now new fellow 'Divine Intervention Cult' members! My favorite Slayer song is on there SS-3, man it feels great to know there are like minded souls.
nroks absolutely, Divine is the first record I bought in my teenage back in the day, still the reason I keep listening to Slayer, my favourite album., 213, Divine intervention, killing fields, DittoHead... killer songs
+nroks I love hearing the 'hits' not only because they're great songs, but also because Paul plays them. I love Dave (Lombardo), however Paul plays with much more intensity and power. He's exciting to listen to live.
I had the oppunitty to see this festival but my ride and so called friend didn't come and get me so i'm still pissed to this day. but atleast i seen them last year on the retirement tour
better hands? have you seen dave's fill at the end of postmortem or angel of death? i saw a video of paul recently when he fucks up a simple snare roll...
Paul Bostaph's drumming is awesome no doubt about that, but I think his style would fit better in a more melodic band than Slayer. Dave Lombardo's style is more agressive, he's of course the perfect drummer for Slayer, it's a shame he's been kicked out. However, if Slayer hired a drummer like Tim Yeung, they would sound like mass destruction.
