Every time I saw him while I was on my way home from work I would just stand around a listen/watch this master for hours, so much he would converse with me just shooting the breeze. Such a great talent but most of all a great guy. I haven’t seen him in years because I moved but I pray he is well in life and health. Salute Mr. Brown

Great voice! Wooo! 10:02 Fri. 06.11.21 I only just heard Hathaway's version of this for the 1st time today about 1/2 an hour ago. So this makes 2 FANTASTIC versions in 1 day. And you make your guitar weep; LOVE that reverb!!! I was JUST thinking I could do with more of that reverb, and immediately, you incorporated it about a dozen more times. Great minds... Blessings.

This is fantastic! I'm glad I was swiping and found this! Your Voice is amazing but the chords are just as impressive, cause thats hard to do in a song that is originally played on piano.

Paul,this is one of my favorite songs,one of my main influences was this version by Donny,30 years ago.A close friend of mine knew him andwas in NY gigging when he died.You have a great voice,really unique, beautiful timber.Some songs needs to be sung not run all over.listen to Stevie,Donny and Luther.Listen to their improvisation.do it your way but some times less is more.Still a beautiful version,though

Al Kooper wrote this. Blood, Sweat, and Tears played it with Al on their first record. Donny covered it, but THIS MAN did a great cover that stands all on it's own. Marc Broussard also does this with tons of soul. It's a beautiful song!
Nice job Paul. It's not an easy song for me to sing in that key. I can't pull it off, and I have trouble transposing it to a lower key as well. I need some help.
