11 years ago, it was his turn to sing "Remember Tomorrow" for his old friend. 11 years later, it's OUR turn to sing "Remember Tomorrow" for him. And it's also the turn for Iron Maiden. Rest in peace Paul Di'Anno, we love you.
@@ourmail9044 if she was showing support to Paul and his music. She wouldn't shout I don't like Iron Maiden. That is also Paul's music early Iron Maiden. Showing him support she wouldn't interrupt when Paul was dedicating an Early Iron Maiden track for support to his close friend! The late great Clive Burr one of the best drummers ever.
Paul was giving some serious "DAGGER EYES" at the loudmouth in the crowd, and that was punctuated by a middle finger. I met Clive in 1982 and he was an incredibly nice guy, very down to earth. REST IN PEACE, CLIVE.
Di'Anno was amazing on the first two Maiden albums. Still makes the hairs on my neck stand up to this this day when I hear him do early Maiden stuff. Legends will always be legends, no matter what came after.
+steve cavagan Di'Anno was amazing on the first two Maiden albums - especially on the first LP. Now hes good, but dont wonder why Bruce is the singer of IM.
Paul also became very unreliable; missing gigs, performing while high or drunk. He basically burned his bridges with the rest of the band & they knew that if they were to succeed they'd need someone who would be 100% professional
+Tombstone - So Paul was just able to record albums in the studios with the band, but he was indisposed at the concerts (drugs, alcohol). That's why they fired him. I don't believe in some stories that he wasn't set up for new style of next albums.
The first best vocals remembers the first best drummer! These two guys Paul and Clive was made history on the Maiden, viva Paul Di'Anno and viva Clive Burr!
But die hard fans still pay to see him even when he’s a benefit cheating joke , what does that say , = that their are people who will always hold his legacy in high regard even if he spends the final chapters of his life craping all over it , doubt there’s many past chart toppers who can get away with that , Paul is having the last laugh a true cockney scum bag hero.
Paul Di'Anno best Iron Maiden vocalist even if a little controversial and Clive Burr superb drummer and sadly missed. Clive never had a drum lesson in his life. I had 5 years and still never had the feel or groove Clive had. That is natural and can not be taught. That is the sort of thing that gave Bonham his sound. This is the ingredient that gave Clive the edge over his 80's contemporaries. He followed the bass and guitar. He was more than just a drummer. He was a great musician.
Really and truly I don’t know what the matter with people at times. I have seen many clips of Paul in action and there is always someone slagging him off at his concerts usually by comparing him unfavourably with Bruce Dickinson. I have been a Maiden fan for years and although Bruce is always my Number One singer, I have tremendous time and respect for Paul (as well as Blaze Bayley) for he made a valuable contribution to rock music and Maiden’s history. The early Maiden albums with Paul are really good. If you don’t like the man why turn up at his concerts? This clip is particularly sickening because he was actually making a tribute to his recently deceased bandmate. That woman should be ashamed of herself. Disgusting! Why she wasn't ejected from that venue is beyond me. Well done Paul for putting that undesirable wench in her place and keeping your cool under the most extreme provocation - including during the performance of the song itself. Thank you also for your contributions to metal in general and Maiden in particular...
Paul openly threatens people who go to watch him at shows, He has done it loads of times , I went to see him all excited and he was just a cunt to the people who was paying to see him. Yes he had a right to tell the heckler to fuck off, but he does this nearly 7/10 gigs he does , he openly attacks people, Claims he's a hells angels members. He earned this reputation himself.
It was such an illogical comment by that lady that I can't help but wonder if there was some kind of miscommunication or if she was just drunk, because who the hell would go see Paul Dianno and not like Iron Maiden?
I saw Maiden here in El Paso tx in '82 Paul was the frontman and Clive drummed that and absolutely smeared Judas Priest that night. Fantastic memory. UP THE IRONS!!!
Shades of the old Paul Di'Anno in this vocal performance. It would be great if he could get a vocal coach for him to restore his former, younger voice to a bigger degree. Paul McCartney did that a few years ago too.
On the point of the woman making the comment about maiden, she wasn't saying 'I don't like Iron Maiden' althoug thats what it sounds like. Obviously English wasn't her first language and what she was trying to say was she wanted to hear his own stuff not the old Maiden stuff. She was actually complimenting him, she had paid to go and see him! But he's too ignorant to see it. Very very sad Paul, very sad indeed.
whats sad is paying to go to a show just to bash the singer for his past with iron maiden she had zero respect for him clive the band the fans and iron maiden
One of my favorite voices of Heavy Metal and one of the greatest drummers-Iron Maiden without them is just-well another Iron Maiden(I like that too,but the feeling is different). Keep on rocking Paul,R.I.P. Clive !!!
El estilo de Clive para tocar ka batería era imponente, fuerte, agresivo, a este gran baterista (que Dios lo tenga en su gloria) le debemos en gran parte el estilo Maiden, sonido unico y sin igual.
I like Nicko very much, my favorite drummer next to Neil Peart. This is nice that Paul Di'Anno would do this for Clive Burr. R.I.P Clive, may you rock on in Heaven!! BTW, Foxy Was Here
All members of Iron Maiden then and now are will be awesome. It was really difficult for me to hear about Clive Burr's death, because he had the same MS pattern as my father did, i know how that is and it really sucks, Clive Burr will remembered as one of the greatest metal drummers ever. A special thanks to Paul Dianno for doing a special tribute for him. God bless you all!
how cool is that Paul doing it after all these years, nothing but respect for the man, who says if his pipes aren't what they used to be, and a salute to Clive Burr real natural talent
Thank you Paul, the tribute post is amazing. I could go on and on about MS problems....I to have MS and.....A Maiden fan (Another problem) and a huge Clive Burr fan to. I still teach most of Clive's fills in drum lessons today. Your first 2 albums are still up there with the best...... Thanks Clive for the Inspiration and thanks Paul for doing this to.....respect. (I'll await the RU-vid insults later, there are bound to be many) Ta, J.
After all this years this is still a performance to remember. Its safe to say that every musician that's ever been a part of Iron Maiden is just killer! I don't care what anyone says! I enjoy the hell out of listening to all this songs! Paul is awesome on his own terms! Hell yeah!
I saw that they opened for KISS in 1980 when I was researching my Uncle's band that also opened for KISS in 1980. So my Uncle did Australia instead of Maiden going there and supporting KISS. He died Christmas 2022.
He's totally murdered this, this is one of my favourite early songs from maiden as it showed another side to his voice quality. But all he does now is shout tunelessly down the mic, and thinks that because he can still (only just) hit that high note this means he can still sing
@@metalogre1 he'd have been 55 here! Admittedly the video is 8 years old... It's cool that he's still playing and that he paid tribute to Clive Burr like that but let's face it I don't think he was at his best here!
When she said in broken English, "I don't like Iron Maiden", I was wondering what the hell she was doing there then?! Also, what did her comments hope to accomplish? Would Paul Dianno suddenly say, "Oh, I see. Then to make you happy I'll sing some Scorpions for ya!".
+vampiremoose She boldly stated in broken English, "I don't like Iron Maiden" as Paul was giving his thoughts on the recent passing of drummer, Clive Burr.
@@jayanxiety Actually she said it before Paul said anything about Clive so she had no idea Paul was going to sing remember tomorrow and pay tribute to Clive.
I feel sorry for Paul. He was on the throne of what was to be the biggest metal band of all time and he lost it. Now he really is living in the past. Even Blaze has some amazing work after Iron Maiden, and I think Paul has better vocals but I dont know one good track of Paul post IM. Its pretty sad. He wants to be a rock star but its all over for him. He is too old and washed out to rekindle what he had
he is a Rock star, he is not in a big band, but he does Good music, Steve fired him cause he was fking the tour. it was the best for maiden, he had his opportunity and lose it
emotional concert, Paul was certain of his truth...in this kind of show, you just observe and applaude! One of his very best Iron maiden Covers, in hommage to his great friend Clive Burr....the girl could be just shutted up for a couple seconds and remember who's the guy on stage.
On the one hand you have the musician who tries to make a living form what he loves. One the other hand, the whole dialogue, performance and former glory is just sad.....
I know Paul's voice is different these days, but i still think he did a kick ass tribute one of greatest drummers of all time Clive Burr. What really bothered me the most is that bitch disrespecting Paul's tribute to Clive. Very awesome tribute Paul. God Bless You and Clive both. Clive will always be remembered!
if you don't like Paul, why do you watch videos of him well past his time in Maiden? is your life so empty that you have to build up your self-esteem bashing him? or are you jealous because he got on stage and you didn't? what bands do you participate in?
Poor Paul. Saw him 5-6 years ago in a little club two streets away. "Never played in a shithole like this one before." Sweating and swearing constantly. But he sang well. For 15 euros I think. Poor Paul.
I like his songs "The living dead" and "Thhe Beast Arises" which are post IM. I´ve seen him twice live without them and his voice was quite cracked but if you listen to some later stuff he seems to have recovered it a bit. Anyway when I saw him the first time I remembered why I started to listen to Maiden. I actually stopped after seeing the Power Slave Tour with Bruce singing Run to the Hills sounding terrible as well as I didn´t like the album. When Paul started singing Wrathchild it all came back. I also think that the Number of the Beast Album was really great with Bruce. And I really like Clives drumming. Paul is also very nice talking to which I did once, great sence of humour.
