The Michener Art Museum is hosting a retrospective of the art of metalsmith and craft furniture innovator Paul Evans. This film traces Evans' work from his school days through his collaboration with woodworker Phillip Lloyd Powell, his connection with the Directional Furniture Company, and his final years of experimenting with electronic furniture. Evans' chief assistant, Dorsey Reading, adds unique insights into his friend's highly creative work.

As an employer, Paul was a wonderful man to work for, very generous, and lots of fun. I worked in the cabinet shop right out of high school from 1972 to 1976. great memories, Dorsey was also very talented, one time he took the aluminum trans cover from my Triumph bike and was able to repair the hole in it for me. Paul would have a summer barbecue every yr. for his employees in those days, We'd get to work typically on a friday and we were told to go to Paul's house on aquatung road. there would be tons of food and the libations flowed free. great memories,

Excellent short documentary. Thank you. Details I've been curious about were answered. What's the jazz track 8:03-8:40. Walter Bell? Track title?
