It's because when Deion played... people took his confidence for arrogance and trash talking. I've watched him some FSU, he said that he was going to win and he did! He's now a coach, but it seems that those words coming out of a black coaches mouth are braggadocio or blasphemous. He had 3 or more true freshmen playing that had an impact. He has players with multiple years of eligibility who are transfer players that made an impact.

Colorado from the very beginning of it's football program has had problems recruiting talented players. The location of the state of Colorado makes it difficult to recruit top tier athletes. This is a historic fact that is not Coach Sanders' fault. Coach Sanders has been a hall of fame level player at every level of his football career. Coach Sanders is doing all he can to recruit top tier level talent in order to make Colorado a winning football program. It is difficult to recruit top tier talent to Colorado. I have met Coach Sanders on occasion and he is good guy. It is not Coach Sanders' fault that Colorado geographically in a bad location. It is difficult to get top tier talent to come to Colorado. When Coach Sanders goes to the transfer portal to get players to upgrade Colorado football program he is doing all that he can.
True, people forget OU has always been the best at recruiting…they have the attributes they need to mix things up and find out what pieces go where…they will eventually get it, hopefully this season tho…
If Mullen were a desirable head coach he wouldn't be on your set, Matt, for the second year in a row. Someone would have hired him. He wanted to be in the NFL but the NFL wasn't dumb enough to want him. There are going to be lots of college jobs opening up this offseason, but I'll bet you Mullen will still be there sitting next to you because he doesn't want to do the work necessary to win at the highest level in modern day CFB with managing the portal, NIL, dealing with boosters, and all the rest of it.
