One of my all time favorite Smooth Jazz songs from Paul. This guy transcends you into a much better world than what we have to live in today! Thank God we have minds to enable us to do this. If it were not for Music, this world have ended much much sooner than what we are being threatened with today! I've got a Hardcastle Best Stuff Playlist for this every reason......to unwind and destress and reflect on the good things in life however few they are becoming. Great Post!
Paul Hardcastle's music takes me to an entirely different level of EVERYTHING!!- Consciousness, intellect, spirituality. His music touches and moves my soul in ways no other artists' work has done, or will ever do.😊
I had recently left my home in Maui because of a failed relationship. I was driving a 5 ton truck in Arizona dragging a trailer full of motorcycles through Phoenix traffic. It was close to 130 degrees out. I was homesick and alone in this oven where you don't see humans because of the dark auto window tinting. I was listening to a radio station called COOL JAZZ when Peace on Earth came on. After that refreshing Aahhhhh and short but sweet guitar solo, I cried out: "WHO IS THIS?" I now have several PH CD's. This song still makes me sad and homesick. 21 years later.
I am so thankful for this music. Brings back great memories of the past that highlighted milestones in my life. PH's jazz "played" a part in that. Thank you Paul, your unique talent has carved a place in all jazz lovers' hearts. Keep up the good work.
This is the most beautiful song I ever heard in my life! I grew up on this song. Much love and thank you's to my Mother for playing this when I was a child. Thank you Paul Hardcastle. His music is Peace on Earth.
Had that idea a few years ago. Bought a sailboat to go cruising and eventually live in BVI. Our goal was to get out of the rat race. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. I always wondered what live would have been like if it had....love this song 🙂
My brother played this often when I was a 13. I'm 34 now and my boss was playing this song at work and I couldn't figure out how I knew it. My boss was shocked and he's pretty old. So I got the piano part stuck in my head and I whistled it to my brother. He remembered the name and I found it on iTunes then headed to RU-vid. This is great music. I just don't understand how I didn't know back then.
Dude it's so amazing the longevity of Hardcastle's I-X albums... I think 1 came out either right after I was born or before it, then I consciously and recently lived through, as a Hardcastle fan, witnessing IX and X come out! I drove around in the pandemic playing Tropicool from IX, I think I'm going to remember that forever. Paul Hardcastle and The Rippingtons are by far the best smooth jazz artists/groups, both hit in quite different ways but they just do it so uniquely. I'm so glad Hardcastle made it clear that X is not the end and he's going to keep going until he's dead, which I hope is a long, long way away from now!
Paul Hardcastle is pure Melodic Soul. Carefree, Spiritual, Relaxing, and Moving, Always Moving like the Divine Winds..Paul Hardcastle is 'Memories' to me of my household days filled with my children! I always deeply felt/believed that Soul, Spiritual Music such as Paul Hardcastle should not just be associated with alcohol drinking, smoking, night clubing; although I am not condemning here, BUT Music this GREAT, PLAYED SO Excellent, have a 'HIGHER CALLING'! When Praying, Burning My Candles, Burning My Incense, Paul Hardcastle was my 'Sound-In-Holy-Worship' among others! Smooth Jazz often played in my home most of the Time. Paul Hardcastle have a Great Magnificent Spiritual Sounds. .Departing in a very uplifted MIND...
I totally agree his music sets ones soul to fly. For now a quiet solitude place to listen to the beautiful music of this genius and to temporarily forget the rubbish that's out there. I close my eyes slowly while holding a glass of wine in the dark. Only me and the stars.
I grew up on this song, but never knew who it was. i heard it today on the Bernie Mack show (Season 3, episode 4: Laughing Matters) and I immediately went to the IMDB site to see if they listed the song in the credits. They had no songs listed for the episode. It was driving me crazy. I had a hunch that it was Paul Hardcastle, so I listened to the Jazzmasters Greatest Hits, and, low and behold, I was right. I'll never lose touch with this song again. Thank you, RU-vid (and The Jazzmasters, of course...and The Bernie Mack show for reminding me about this song)
Yes you did it again. The music is simply stunning. Glass of wine. Jazzmasters. My son loves it as well thank u. He's 19. Wen he's having a bad day. The sounds fills the house comin from his room

I played a lot of Paul hard castle jazz when I worked at then what was called kxdc put of Monterey California in early 1990,s Mr hard castle is of the utmost thoughtful music industries leaders. Smooth as can be he is number one right up there with the greatest female artist her majesty (Sade Adu)🎶🎵🎹🎷🎺🎤🎻
When I was doing security for a medical office building we ended up with a lot of Paul Hardcastle fans among the staff especially the nurses working overnight in the plastic surgery recovery Suite area. We had a way to program the music system and PA and this was one of the most requested pieces of music on the overnight shift with good reason this is incredible to listen to in a building late at night when it's very quiet.
You & I have a different effect to this music. I roll the hwys & byways everyday in my 2015 Cascadia with 44,000/45,000lbs and it keeps me alert. Makes me pay attention to everything.
Beautiful song I love the guitar and the piano this song is remarkably amazing the way it was put together with the video it cant get better then that only Paul would think of this he is a brilliant musician .
