Paul-Jordan Jansen and Brad Frenette (Penn State '12 BFA Music Theatre) perform "I Don't Remember You / Sometimes a Day Goes By" from "And the World Goes Round" by Kander and Ebb.
Not only did they correct the weaknesses of the official Off-Broadway recording, they significantly improved on them and added their own flair to the piece. Amazing work guys.
Bravo to Paul-Jordan and Brad. This wonderful video is about the songs, not the performers, who have made themselves invisible, thus demonstrating real skill, dedicated practice and sacrificing celebrity for art. The delicate, sensitive arrangement is a mile away from the 100-piece Streisand orchestra and substantially the better for it. Well done to the MD, the vocal coaches and all the performers. This is musical theatre at its very best.
