Man, y'all are killing it with the artist series. I'd love to see ones based on Lemmy, Geezer Butler, Dave Mustaine and Tony Iommi if there were ever an opportunity. I'd say do one that sounds like me...... But I sound like the original Bass Driver. 😆

I bought the Fly Rig, it sounds similar, but not exactly like Paul Landers in this video. What else is he using? Cab? More effects? 😊

If you look at 0:11 on the video it states the signal chain is the PL1 into the camera line in. It does sound like the part was doubled and the video does have a split screen of Paul playing. We're not sure how that was done but it is a common practice to double guitars in the studio.

@@Tech21nycI'm really n sure how most people don't get this. And this is your product which I find to be quite hilarious. If you run both outputs at once, you will create a stereo sound. So you run the output guitar cable and the xlr cable into one device like a PA or into a camera kit of some kind. If both output channels are balanced then this will work flawlessly and yes, it will work at home on a home interface as wel.

@@BrotherTimothyClark No. The unit is not stereo. It has two mono outputs. XLR and 1/4".

@@Tech21nyc Oh I know but, if you run two mono outputs, it turns it into a stereo field in that it doubles and both sides are used at the same time. I've experimented with that with my Brother's bass fly rig.

Tech 21, first of all I love this product and use it in some tracks, it has a soul of its own. I would appreciate a bit of help with the following: the drive channel is too hot for my taste, I would love to be able to get a light crunch out of it without resorting to the guitar volume, in order to have a clean sound and a crunch, instead of clean and high gain. Is there any switch or something of the likes of inside?

Appreciate the kind words. There are no secret switches inside the Paul Landers Fly Rig. 🙃 Being a signature pedal, it is designed to Paul's specifications. However, you can adjust the Drive on the Feuer channel for less distortion. There may be some other tips/tricks you can do to get the crunch you want, so suggest you contact us directly with greater detail --your entire signal chain and the order in which it is connected, guitar & pickups, etc: info@tech21nyc.com

I bought fly rig pl1 a connect it with my boss katana mk2 100 and set up to clean tone, but when I press Feuer button or Wasser then I have huge noise. Did you know what wrong is it?

There are several possible causes & typically it’s not the pedal. The 1st thing to check is making sure you have it at unity gain. If that’s not it, please contact our support team directly: info@tech21nyc.com. Be sure to include anything else in your signal chain & the order in which it is connected.

I have the Tech21 Pl-1 and have used it direct into the scarlett interface for studio applications with great results. I have been thinking of buying a HoTone Loudster Poweramp and using the SansAmp as a preamp together with a 1x12 Mesa Boogie Cabinet for rehersals and live situations. Do you guys think it would work or would it color the Fly rig's tone too much? Cheers

It should work great. Our analog speaker sim works very well through a traditional guitar speaker cabinet.
