The final day of our fun-filled trip took us to Rotterdam Zoo. We were lucky enough to get in for free using our Colchester Zoo passes!
The zoo is around 60 acres in size, so well sized, and house elephants, lions, giraffe, polar bears, gorillas and rhino (black and Indian). There are a few indoor exhibits, such as the aquarium, and the Okapi house (with lots of free flying birds), which then leads into an indoor crocodile exhibit, complete with the cutest animal at the zoo - The Black-and-rufous elephant shrew!
The bird show is worth watching, with free-flying macaws, hornbill, hawks and the adorable kiskadee.
A perfect end to our trip!
