je viens de me connecter sur ce lein de paul mauriat, "les premiers mots m'ont touché" quand on est au top , on arrete, vous avez tout à fait raison, c'est votre humilité. je suis du vietnam depuis 1975 en france, mon père nous a inculqué de le bonne musique, Frank pourcel, etc...... et vous bien sur.. vous etes apprécié à travers le monde surtout en asie (je parle pour moi) car la musique est mélodieuse et vous choississez toujours de belles musiques (émotions et sensibilité) les asiatiques apprécient beaucoup votre façon de jouer; ANECDOTE: Adam Faith , EXODUS. je suis ému bien à vous Monsieur MAURIAT

Eu já estou descobrindo mais pelos trabalhos e interpretações de artistas japoneses e excede os artistas de Jazz Fusion como Casiopea, Shakatak, T-Square, Pat Matheny, Dimension and more.

1998年の11月にさよならコンサートを行って、札幌市にあった北海道厚生年金会館は、老朽化で、数年前に解体しました!最後に大阪フェスティバルホールにて、2回行いました!一年前のNHKテレビのときめき夢サウンドですね!NHK元のBS2でしたね!

Great interview. Paul basically says he retires betrayed by his health, prefers to do so while still in full control of his faculties, that his focus has always been the people rather than other issues, and praises Japanese people for knowing about music to the point that all 3,000 people could sing the "Ode an die Freude" with the orchestra. His note tells the orchestra to play in a moving way for the Sayonara Concert. He laments that today's music focuses on lyrics and rhythm, ignoring melody.

And he jokes that he's got an incurable illness in Japan: that of being a perfectionist. He also praises the wine. As we fans of Paul know well, though, he has ALWAYS been a perfectionist, since his time with Bel-Air in the early 60s. You never find a note out of place in his interpretations. Hi Sayonara Concert is dated 29 Nov. 1998. Paul died almost eight years after, on 3 Nov. 2006.

" Когда мы наверху, то потом уже - только вниз!" Великий Маэстро прекрасно это осознавал, он хотел уйти раньше. Гораздо раньше! Он не хотел быть стареющим памятником самому себе, зная, что после того, как ты поднимешься на гребень,дальше дороги не будет никуда. Только вниз. Это его очень пугало.
