Asad Gamer this video is shot in Liverpool so wouldn’t surprise me! I had the privilege of touring Lipa a few years back and the ages of talent are so varied! Some lucky people go to LIPA 😖
@@donnyshowalter6552 ,Paul is 77. I've listened to a lot of this album, and it just doesn't do anything for me. Sorry Paul, but I expected much more. Even the first 2 songs I listened to it sounded like you were doing a Mick Jagger impression. Love nearly all of your work; but not so much Egypt Station album.
82 yo and his music is still up to date. His voice like Paul of course but if I compare his music now with wings or even beatles, its very different. His music in this song sounds modern.
I had never heard this one until seeing Paul play it live last week in Spokane. It’s not always easy to like a song the first time you hear it, but this is so catchy. I’ve had it on heavy rotation since.
@@sofilm29creo que yo era la única cantando esa canción a mi alrededor en el concierto y pensé "es una canción increíble ¿Por qué no la conoce más gente?" Que bueno que te gustara!
Just to help you along with the meaning of the words you use, "If you describe someone who follows new ideas as trendy, you disapprove of them because they are more interested in being fashionable than in thinking seriously about these ideas." Gotta agree, like.
"I like to rock n roll, but also I care about manner" A quote from McCartney that always be inside my heart. Also that is the reason why Beatles like to wear suit.
the music aesthetic... writing a song ...with the line and title... "i just want to fuck you". that is aesthetic to you? your culture is in the shithole.
The best macca ended in the end 70th the rest is mediocre.but when it comes tot be critical to the Macca work the fans don't wanna hear the truth. Back tot the egg was the last good thing.
Thank you Macca for always being there, for helping me pull through the sh*t, for making my life seem worth every second of it, for giving me so much inspiration, for being the musical genius that you are. Thank you for your beautiful spirit and soul. Thank you forever and always. I love you!
Agree. I listened to his 'Memoirs..' audiobook read by Gregory Martin (Sir George Martin's eldest son) recently and it's really interesting. Very revealing.
One thing that's modern is the pitched sampled voice with effects and the loud punchy simple vocals and drums. I think he really showed that he still can with this song. He even knows how to upset people with Fuh You alternative interpretations. He understands that pop music is much centered around teenage crushes and he tapped into that with this song quite well.
It's four chords (in verse and chorus). In addition to that i have to sadly agree. It's sad that these repetetive songs are played in the radio and called "modern".
Sir Paul -- 78 yrs-old for Gawd's sake. In case anyone hasn't noticed... we are forever and forever blessed to have this genius human (collectively and individually) nourishing our lives for decades!
I don't enjoy the song as much as some of his older stuff but I think it's wonderful that he's evolving. The Beatles have always played pop music. This is just more current, less orchestral and...60s. Lots of singers from the past get big then stop playing or refuse to play anything but what they're comfortable with. Sir Paul is continuing and growing.
lol, the Beatles always played pop? No, they played a lot of experimental rock, psychedelic rock, and then Paul had Wings, AND his solo work in addition to and after Wings, he's been making music all over the board pretty continuously, including a collab with Dave Grohl. I wouldn't go so far to say regressing but this is definitely his most mainstream/pop album in a while.
"Evolving" oh you mean selling out his actual musical genius to dumb down music in order for the morons of today to buy his songs? Yeah that's really admirable isn't it
I mean, can’t compare it to the beatles’ golden age songs but this is actually not a bad one. It’s good to realize that Paul didn’t stop working and is still bringing good songs even at the age of 76
Lol McCartney is so cheeky, he knew everyone would be talking about this song when he spelled it 'fuh'. Great song, great production, great video, great actor. To pull off this youthly energy at 76 is wonderful. You're only as old as you feel.
This song keeps growing on me. It did sound a bit generic at first, but I keep singing It to myself without even noticing. The live version is really worth listening to, due to its more organic, less artificial feeling.
Carbono 12 this does indeed grow on you. Reviews are a B- or C+. By the time Macca is in the thick of his US tour, no surprise the song is going to really get popular!
ROOKTABULA your comment makes no sense. In the studio they layer his voice. It makes it appear both brighter and stronger. Live he uses no backtrack. His voice is gone and live sounds very thin and weak.
6644pmr Jesus, man, he's 76 years old...give him a break..it doesn't take away from his music, in a way it's quite endearing, especially on some of his ballads on the "Egypt" album.
Every time I think Paul McCartney’s lost it, that his voice isn’t worth recording anymore, and he should just stop, he gives people like me the middle finger by creating a song like this that sounds brilliant and blows me away. That’s certainly told me.
I’m 14 and Paul will remain my most favorite artist along with the Beatles like fuh rap and country there is no rhythm in it rap is just mumbling every Beatles fan and Paul fan should help me make him more popular by telling everyone you know to listen to his music
@Nitelife Have you listened to anything that Paul has done since the 80's? He's always been kind of a pop artist, even when rock N roll is among his main influences.
@@sarah-sn6ny oh yes it is 😂😂 paul said it's "a raunchy love song". "I just want to for you" is not even a sentence. Besides he's always done these kinda songs (Why don't we do it on the road) and there's nothing wrong with that. Why do you think hippie times were the most sexually open? 😂 It's innocent in it's honesty.
I don't love his solo stuff, but that's not to say it isn't solid. Dude is creeping up on 80 and still churning out perfectly crafted and memorable songs. True genius.
Can't help but feel that if this was realeased back in his heyday they'd have left the clever rudey words as "I just wanna for you" but everyone would know that he meant fuck. Now I'm watching a child mouth the words "I just wanna fuh you" that a talented but elderly man had written, and I just feel uncomfortable about the whole situation.
@@alansvartr I thought exactly the same thing. I was really uncomfortable and kinda disappointed until I read the lyrics. Still sounds like it to me honestly
That's my friend Harry as the kid in the video. He did a great job here. We chat every now and again on instagram and he posts a lot of cool pics about what he's up to. This is one job that he'll never forget! Great song too!!!
I was fortunate enough to be at the world premiere earlier this week in Québec city and guys let me tell you... He's as awesome as ever... And the new album sounds incredibly well. Being 23 and still be able to see Sir Paul live is unbelievable...
And I watched him in Vancouver this sarurday. Most of the fans that know the lyrics are the younger ones. A loet of old folks in my row were bored (this old man was looking his watch every 5 minutes), and were complaining about the music being "too loud". Probably they got the tickets for free, or only went because Paul is famous, not because they actually like him. In short, amazing crowd, but worst audience ever
Sir McCartney is an amazing musician. As for A legend...this is probably the best you get. He's polite, hasn't trashed others, gives to charities, keeps making amazing music when he could be in bed and have lived off his songwriting royalties from 50 years ago. Paul has been in a class of his own when it comes to doing something you love. This guy must love music and has had a drive like no other musician. I'd be lying on the couch watching tv while my money is deposited into my account.
I saw Sir Paul in concert on his One On One tour last year, (exactly one year ago today on September 23rd 2017) and it was the coolest concert I've ever been to in my life. He played for 3 straight hours without a break. I think it's amazing that he just released a new song!!!!!
@@chipgaasche4933 it's so funny how many times I came across comments of you complaining about how bad this song is... It's actually hilarious😂 i don't see you making music records and reaching number one?
maria the breakdown at 2:35 is pretty Beatles! Melodic baseline, a strong strings section and some harpsichord/medieval sounding keys in the background
You can tell that Ryan Tedder helped on this song. It sounds like a OneRepublic with Paul McCartney on it. That said, I’ll probably still jam to it on repeat because it’s a great song. Lovely work!
'Egypt Station' by Paul McCartney is one of the best albums of 2018. Paul has been on a creative high for the last couple of decades. Albums such as 'Flaming Pie', 'Chaos and Creation' and 'Memory Almost Full' have been as good as early solo efforts such as 'Band On The Run' and 'Venus And Mars'. And now we have 'Egypt Station', another gem in the box of Macca Magic.
First listen:What is "Fuh You"? 2.Listen:Why did Paul write that song? 3.Listen:Hımmm actually It's not that bad 4.Listen: I just wanna know how you feel! 5.listen:I JUST WANT IT FUH YOUUUU🎶
You wouldn't know that this wasn't made by a newer artist. It shows how much of an influence that Paul and the Beatles still has on music today. Great song.
La primera vez que escuché una canción de Paul fue cuando tenía apenas 5 años. Han pasado casi 50 y sigo igual de enamorado de su música que entonces. Enhorabuena, maestro.
WOWED PAUL IS ALWAYS NEW MAYBE THE ONE REASON HE STILL GET LOOKING YOUNGER. GOD BLESS YOU SIR! YOU AND THE REST OF THE BEATLES ARE BIG PART OF THE WORLD THAT CANNOT BE FORGOTTEN.
The young lad in the video was at Macca's Liverpool gig, just sat in the crowd like the rest of us. You can't beat a Macca gig the atmosphere is always amazing.
