We're so used to seeing Dave Gilmour playing those oh so serious Pink Floyd songs that it's nice to see him just cut loose here on an old Beatles rocker.
+270yis If I can track it down, I'll post the link to an interview with David regarding the Run Devil Run project. It's a written one, not RU-vid. You get the sense of giddy schoolboy that he's working with Paul and Mick. He fair gushes on about early rock'n'roll, Hank Marvin and Johnny Kidd and the Pirates. You're right, David seems so serious most of the time that we forget he once had hair and rocked like a b*st*rd.
You know what I really love about this? Paul's voice is really pitchy on this. No auto tune! And David's solo isn't outrageously perfect, it's just kinda run of the mill. It goes to show you that these incredibly talented people are human after all. Both are incredibly famous, and deservedly so, without question in my mind. But I love seeing what happens when you just throw them into a situation where they just kinda wing it. It makes you realize how much skill they have to get from point "A" to point "B".
Best version I’ve heard outside of the Beatles. Perfect mix of rhythm and lead guitar. That what makes this song, the 2 guitar sounds together. Band is also surprisingly tight too. When you’ve got Dave Gilmore on lead, Ian Paice on skins and Paul McCartney on bass and vocals, how could it not. Be. ❤
**dies** this video is great ! awesome Vocals by Paul and David. two legendary people . :D too bad my generation today Doesn't know who these guys are :( \m/ keep rocking guys
The Beatles set the world on fire 🔥 and changed so many things in life for many people and created so much happiness worldwide, to this day there is nothing that can touch that Beatles magic, Paul Mc Cartneys bass lines were absolutely magical and old Ringo on his drums, these guys were a once in a lifetime combination that found each other and produced unbelievable magic, thankyou so much for creating so much happiness and optimism for so many people worldwide. 🎼🎵🎶😁👍 Yeh
Tal cual. Sumo lo siguiente, olvidaste de mencionar, los otros dos pilares fundamentales para que funcione la Magia Beatles, John y George, Sin ellos, Imposible (son mis favoritos)⭐❤⭐❤⭐❤⭐❤
This is the ultimate! History's all-time greatest rocker in late-middle-age ... blowing it out where it all began ... the OLD way, the GOOD way, the RIGHT way ... no glits, no glam, just good old rock 'n roll! I say Paul do THIS SONG live and in concert in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A in 1990. The band was The Pretenders (without Chrissy) and with Linda McCartney, of course. BEST SHOW I EVER SAW, HANDS DOWN! A RELGIOUS EXPERIENCE! THE BEST! The only thing that's missing is ... The Beatles!
Amazing. I wish I was there. I would to see more McCartney and Gilmour. I have just discovered he plays that wonderful guitar in No more Lonely Nights.
Is Ian Paice (ex Deep Purple) the greatest drummer in rock? Oh yes. All this line up needed was Hendrix, and then it would have been one of the greatest ever.
Ian Paice sure is one of the greatest, with good ole Charlie (Watts). To me, the greatestv of them all is John Densmore (Doors). Oh my, did he know how to keep the beat and make his driums SING...
it does not get better than that , ya got gilmour , one of the greatest tone monsters on the planet ,ian piace , from one of the greatest heavy rock bands of all time , purple blew every one away , and mccartney .... the top of the heap . try to put another 3 icons like that in the same type of thing , ???????????
