I was fortunate to score tickets twice when Paul and band came to Tampa in the 80's and early 90's. Just terrific. Huge fan since the early 70's. Linda was always by his side. I was very sad to learn of her passing. I can only imagine how absolutely devastated Paul must have been.

Both John and Paul brought their wives into their music but I can't think of any other musician that did that. Met a woman marry her and then put her in his band. Yet both Lennon/McCartney did. I wonder if Paul felt he should after John did it or if it happened naturally?

If you watch Linda playing the drums and actually listen to what she’s playing it’s clear to see and hear that she’s not really playing what’s being heard. It’s akin to Danny Partridge playing the bass in old Partridge Family episodes. 😂

@@thumbsaloft - I’m not alone in this. Everyone I’ve spoken to agrees. He fell victim to the atrocious production techniques of that era. Not to mention his songwriting dried up and it was like he was writing elevator music for suburban housewives. But, like the master he is, he pulled out of it and recovered his genius. He’s not the only one. A lot of people sucked during this era because their style didn’t mesh with the terrible sounds of the time.

She’s not ‘playing drums’...what you are hearing is someone playing drum sounds on a keyboard. That’s the main ‘drumming’ sound you hear. She’s kinda of tapping along. And yes, it’s fun. But it’s average, at best. No disrespect to Linda, though. Just being honest.
