An actor and writer, Paul Merton is considered to be one of Britain’s greatest comedians, known for his deadpan brand of comedy and his improvisational skills. His memorable role on BBC’s 'Have I Got News For You' has earned him an five nominations for the British Comedy Awards, as well as the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Non-Acting Performer.

I recall many of the shows has mentioned, being five years older than Paul. Paul and Ian are great to watch and listen to, the show was a good way to get info on politics and English everyday life, it was more than news. His send up of King Charles is legendary, I'm sure His Majesty would be amused. A big fan from Australia.

Great ... the interviewer was fine and didn't ask stupid questions or talk too much... Merton was as usual very likable and funny.

PM repeats much of what he said at Oxford Union about a year earlier so a bit dull if you’ve already seen that YT video.

What a pity the Union couldn't be arsed to get someone to interview Paul Merton who wasn't so bored or uninterested in the task. Merton might not be the most fascinating guy in the world but he's been around the block enough to be worthy of a better hour than this. Tsk.

Out of his league but who wouldn't be in front of a man like Merton. I think he did very and if I could have done better maybe I would have been there. Maybe you would darkside
