Birth rates are declining, ageing populations around the world are increasing and currently, this shows no signs of stopping.
One of the world's pre-eminent demographers', Dr Paul Morland has written extensively on this subject, including three books and for various publications.
We discuss the reasons behind population decline, whether immigration policies can make a difference in a country's demographic decline, how different governments are dealing with this issue, the impact of religion and culture on birthrates, how low birthrates affect a country's economy and the steps required to reverse the world's demographic decline.
On a sidenote, it would really be appreciated if you could subscribe to the channel, as the more the channel grows, the more it can be developed.

My problem with this, is that Morland describes how the economic system is broken, (ie needs infinite growth) but then, instead of changing the system, wants to prop it up.

All I hear from any of the demographic doomsday presenters is how the poor billionaires will run out of serfs if the current serfs wont make new ones at their own expense.

Due to the zero-sum social structure of the modern world, population implosion is inevitable. For people to start having children, the children must provide some sort of tangible benefit to the breeding parents; currently children are a burden. As the declining population drives people out of dying smaller cities, into ever-denser, and expensive/competitive population areas, children will be even less of a benefit than they are now.

The smart question is not “How can we stop”, but “How can we make the best of”.

You can't stop the decline. We need less people on Earth anyway. We have survived with far less people. We will survive.

One of the really nasty ways in which rich countries are sponging off poorer countries, is by enticing away the people that they have trained, at great expense.

Historically, the way to prevent exploding birth arates is by educating females, yet its a mystery as how to increase birth rates.

Why should we care about faling birthrates? If the system cant handle faling birthrights its something wrong with the system.

It's going to peak in about 25 years and then decline. We see the decline beginning now because the birthrates are below replacement. That's what the worry is about, especially since people are living longer and populations are aging.

We should NOT stop the world's birth rate declining. What we need is for ALL the world's people to restrain their breeding, not just the people of the developed nations.

I have never seen a successful attempt to raise the fertility rate of a population. With the contraception pill available today, it's basically impossible.

@@danielcarvalho1453 Income among men correlates with higher birth rates, income among women correlates with lower birth rates. Confiscating labor (in the form of printing or taxes) from men to hand to women lowers birth rates. Gate keeping university admission and fortune 500 jobs from men lowers birth rates. The baby boom was of course a marriage boom. Why did marriages boom? mainly because young men's relative socioeconomic status increased relative to women and since women wanted higher socioeconomic status they married at increased rates to gain it. This was a time when women's initiatives and handouts did not yet exist. Inflation was low. The effective tax rate for the median male was around 5% (its 20% now), purchasing power was much greater, housing was 2-3x annual income vs 11x now, men compared to women went to college 2:1 (it is now 1:2 due to women initiatives/scholarships/quotas), the regulatory apparatus hadn't yet grown into the corporate capture monster it is now, young men living at home was a fraction of what it is now, divorce rates were much lower (we didn't have no fault divorce), and many other reasons which made marriage more advantageous for women and more palatable for men.

I'm so thankful and relieved that people are talking about this. This concerns all of us. If you don't have kids, your pension is essentially leeching on the labour of a young generation that you did not contribute to. I hope for all our sakes that there is light at the end of the tunnel. God bless you and have a great day 🙏
