@@tommccallan8802 Don Kazarian the owner of the track was there, he drove it up the back stretch K-rail then almost half way up the billboard wall that goes the hole length of back stretch came back down onto the track. I've worked there since 96, and someone told me and showed me the marks,I was not there, and it was verified by several of other employees that saw it go down! He came into pits asking to do more laps! I have seen that happen several times in the 28years I've worked there. 1of the Williams Boys has knocked it out the park, and walked away, that 1s on film! When in so-cal visit Perris Auto Speedway America's premier Clay oval!

He was a multi-time SCCA national champion, won The Rolex 24, and won his class at Le Mans (which I think put him on the overall podium). And he won a few Trans Am races. He was alright.

Also a very competitive off road racer too. Mint 400, Baja etc

@@NWtoSFO Yeah? I had no idea that he'd Won a few US Titles, but I did have a half an idea that he'd actually won Le Man, but I thought if I went on record in the comments section "and he won this that, AND Le Man" and he hadn't, well I just didn't want to sound as silly as I look!!

He didn't win Le Mans overall, but he was second in 1979 with Rolf Stommelen and Dick Barbour, in Dick's Porsche 935.

I hate for every dickhead on the street to ask me to sign things.

Actually, he NEVER signed autographs at the track, this way he was able to be a racer and NOT a movie star. I've had lunch with him and his team (back in 1977) and had after session beer many times, when he would hang out with the race workers and he was ALWAYS a gentleman and had a great sense of humor. He was a damned fast driver and a multiple National Champion in SCCA Road Racing -- NOBODY gave him a championship, he had to earn it. A truly CLASS guy!

Actually, you're the dickhead for taking it personal, as Paul, as a policy, almost never signed autographs, no matter who you were. He'd rather talk to you for a few minutes, instead, especially if you were a race fan.
