Yes they would I got it rite away I'm not super intelligent but he like me remembered Liverpool v them I knew it 1977 boy born in England with Irish name played for Liverpool Joe Kevin Keegan 🇮🇪☘️☘️
Remember watching this. Just brilliant. And now, after a disastrous revamp and an entirely predictable slump in viewing numbers, BBC have had to pull a great show 😢
some Aussie twat replied but deleted his comment, a dig at nationalism, how ironic given that Australia is a nation founded of whites who hail from jailed immigrants, the indigenous population have been butchered by his kind, gotta love irony.
Random moments like this made it such a great programme. There were many also in the David Coleman era. It failed when they tried to make things funny all the time. It's better when they happen naturally.
Back in the 80s Bernard langer guessed the mystery personality, but admitted after, that he was standing behind the camera when they were filming the person, just can't remember who it was now, lol.
Of course Gordon, you'd have gotten it in a heartbeat no doubt, you absolute tomato. Are you trying to claim that ANY word related to sport...ie. an athlete's fucking surname couldn't be a long word?
Just saw and on TV showing paddy McGuiness as new host, he's as funny as piles. Peter Kay's biggest mistake.... Honestly a glove puppet would be better, bring back Gordon the Goffer
To be fair the fact there was 15 letters in the second word made it easier because how many words, teams or sporting words have that many letters? Monchengladbach is possibly the only one. If it was 8 letters long it would have been much more ridiculous.
@@paulbyrne7675 Go on then.... List some. Lol There's no doubt that having a particularly long word makes it easier. If both words had 9 letters each it's much more difficult because quite simply there's far more names/places/sporting teams/events etc with a lower amount of letters.
They're given the answers on Question of Sport beforehand and have been for years. There was an article in the paper years ago when the old host David Coleman admitted it.
Dawson spoke like he was super gay. Plus he had to get the final say and clap at the end. Thats why i cant stand the prick. Hes always this way. Tuffers is brilliant though.
Pffft, while I understand what you are saying, the guy figured it out in under 3 seconds. How many people would be that quick? Now do you realise why it's more impressive than you are saying.
@@shaunjenkinson5089 I only saw this first after it was known. I'm not wrong though am I? Borussia Monchengladbach or however the spelling goes is a famously long name of a football team. It even has that "give me a B" joke.
