This was an awesome tribute for Pierce! Not only did they prepare a wonderful video montage and give him a standing ovation, they let him win the game too!
I started watching basketball on a regular basis back in 2000 and the first time I watched the Celtics I instantly became a fan because of Paul Pierce and the style and heart he played with. And when the team was at their lowest point between 05-07 he never complained or ask for a trade. Thank You Paul for 15 outstanding years. And Thank You to KG, Ray, Perk and Doc also for the heart and effort you guys showed while you were here too, miss all of you. Forever Celtics in my eyes.
Damn it...is someone cutting onions? My eyes...Wow. As a person born and raised in and around Boston...who grew up on Bird, Orr, Yaz, Rice, Hannah, Grogan, etc....welcome to the club Paul.
I felt the tears coming in while I was watching this video, its a good tribute to Pierce. I just cant believe it, my favorite player not in green anymore its something that Ill never get over... Miss KG too
Hard Core Clipper Fan since 1992 here. I've always loved The Truth. 1:09 where the man is crying. That's what sports is all about. I take my 5 year old son to so many Clippers and Dodger games. If they win it all and my son sees me crying, I will explain to him, there are some moments when its ok to cry as a man; when your parents pass away, when you win a championship, and when your heroes return home. God Bless The USA and our troops all over the world!
As a Celtics fan I was missing pierce for awhile but they couldn't have done anything last year with just rondo but if they would've kept him they would've been a threat of they had Paul this year they'd be real contenders even if he's not much better that the other players if better at all he's my favorite player ever and his experience and drive would rub off on the younger players hopefully he retires a Celtic
Talking shit to Marbury is the balls. This is the best Paul Pierce tribute video on RU-vid because it captures how the fans of Boston felt about the Truth. I mean it got me emotional from the get go but when I saw that grown man crying it gave me permission to let it out. Good job capturing this even if we got a glimpse of your reflection in the TV!
