@Rizzler tbh being trained in TWD doesnt seem to mean as much unless that person was gifted in the first place. Governor was somehow able to beat up ex-military guys, Merle, and Rick... Negan was somehow able to destroy Simon despite being shorter and weighing less than him. Daryl was able to give Carver a damn good fight as well despite not having formal training. I think it could go either way in terms of pure h2h...
a favorite character of many, all his fight scenes were badass, especially against morgan. a tragic death scene, as this was the first whisper encounter
I don't remember much of Jesus from the show ngl, last time I saw an episode was like years ago when I was still in Middle school, but I started reading the comics and seeing Jesus's first appearance is him taking on Michonne and winning and basically beating both Michonne and Abraham in a 2V1 and being basically a ninja is amazing
Carver Lose I can explin why + It's literally not fair. His fight with Rick is not fair. He was able to pin Paul. I think it's an unfair fight. Frankly, Daryl wins with a MID-Hight diff.

See this is why I think he shouldn't have been so easily blindsided by a whisperer and killed like he was. I mean he was easily the best fighter in comics, even going toe to toe with Beta and holding his own. They did him so wrong on the show
Paul Rovia "Jesus" He does have very good skills in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, which is something very useful in a world like that, he is really underestimated, from my point of view he is a quite interesting character, it is a shame that he died in the Serie.
Bro didn't really have any epic moments during the savior war. Only memorable thing he did was fight that one guy in "the damned" that maggie later killed. During the other fights he was part of with the saviors was only a background appearance with his gun
To all those comparing Jesus and Carver, let me put it this way: a soldier, be it even special forces, dedicates maybe 10% of his time to unarmed combat, studying a few simple and effective techniques to cheese his way out of those few situations. A fighter dedicates a 100% of his time to train unarmed combat. It's not even close.
Him and Aaron killed Beta in the comics, not to mention he caught a grenade with his hands and threw it back. He also went toe to toe with a group of Saviours. I don’t blame Tom Payne for being disappointed, in fact, I respect him for it. Shows that he was actually passionate about the character and about putting his own skills to work. I don’t think anyone in the cast actually gave a damn about the source material. Then again, neither did the showrunners.
@@giulianogoulart3297 negan got rustier, weaker and lost a lot of muscle in that jail cell he’s been in and now he’s old and weak, elijah was injured and maggie never really was a good fighter. Still a hell of a feat for carver to defeat the three on his own
Carver has strength but Paul has more power meaning strength is the definition of how much you can resist but power is how fast you can move that resistance with no acceleration
