...but, what about the victim, after the offender has served his sentence - I am a victim 50 years ago and there's still trauma.I wonder how traumatized my offender is today.

Paul ,what about the boy who is 14.he has a life sentence in his head forever.. something happened to me at 5 and my whole life and everything I do and don't do is based off that one time horrific terror at 5...so stop thinking of your feelings and think how the 14 year old boy gets a life sentence with you in hid head.he will never ever forget

To be honest, he seems very unrepentant and selfish. He's offended that people don't trust him with their children, when the reality is that ANY GOOD PARENT would not trust him with their kids!

Paul Jesus Christ forgiveness is all you need. His acceptance and His open arms. Society may call you unclean, but if you've repented, God will separate you from your sins as far as the East is to the West! Society acts like there's different degrees to sin, but sin is sin. We all need forgiveness and grace. I feel terrible for the victim and pray for them as well, but the whole Host of Heaven REJOICES over 1 sinner that repents! I'm rejoicing with Heaven on your behalf!

Oh jeez, now he's going after this woman who barely speaks any English at all and trying to marry her after they've known each other less than 8 weeks..... JFC.

He is clearly not remorseful at all. He should have never been released. He made that choice as a full grown adult and bought someone else into it. The boy has trama his whole life and he's upset he has to register. He'll do it again if he gets the chance.

Im not condoning his past behavior but people learn,repent and grow from their mistakes.Lets just hope that he doesn't repeat history

Dude is very remorseful but you can’t blame people for hating sex offenders the registry is there for a reason there are lots of predators who continue with their crimes even after they serve long sentences we’re just trying to protect the kids here buddy

They've only been dating for 2 months & he's claiming true love LOL - then people are saying she's not in her right mind? She may be mire clever than people realize especially if she's not an American citizen hmm lets see if their STILL married in 5years lol

I don't believe you would get that long of a prison term unless there was force used and possibly a weapon etc. This guy is a liar, straight up.

I see in the comments that everyone is (understandably) not very forgiving of Paul. Ppl can commit murder and no one stigmatizes them like this. Imho this "attitude" is not working. We have no fewer sexual assualts etc than we used to. Isn't the ultimate goal to decrease these horrific crimes? Maybe we as a society need to reflect and attempt to change our perspectives in order to effect change i.e. less victims.

This is the cycle of abuse. It creates intergenerational trauma. While his actions were indecent, he is attempting to better himself.

“I wound up sleeping with a 14 year old boy”… sleeping with? No you attacked him. You sleep with consenting adults. “Wound up” no you chose. No accountability.

She wants to have kids with him!!! I hope social services get involved. He shows remorse only for how it affected HIS life. Not his victim.

Two things about the registry: 1 - Do you have released murderers living close to you? Why are so many of us freaked out when sex is involved? Yes, murders get released and live in our neighborhoods. 2 - When you're looking to identify possible dangers near you or in a neighborhood you might move to... All offenders had their first offense before landing on the register and not all offenders have been caught. The register might give you a false sense of security and leave your child in view of a horrible person. You shouldn't live in fear but always keep your eyes open and your guard up.

I the 60s and 70s when these laws were easy it was common for older women having swx with 16 year old They fell into certain categories small women with children body's. Ethic women kept women who were not satisfied. Single women with children ,women with neutral problems They did call it abuse back then Then the judicial or business cane into it Just imagine the money attach to this man charge being drag though the system prison cost rehab monitoring over a million tax payers money Sure he is a piece if poep for doing what he did But socity suffers more even though ge seems still disturbing and not total remote Castration and 5 year and life control not allowing to exist in general population Would have been more just They have trailer park only for sexual offender Its just he a snow flake and a easy victim to be drag though the system It seems his supposed Own experience with abuse The course gave him the benefit of the doubt gave him 15 years and not drag him to the system Yet his bew wife if there children she will always Suspect him And can always use it against him

Jesus died to save us from sin so that we could have a new life through him and eternal life. All sin can be forgiven except the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. A lot of people like to judge others but don't judge themselves. That takes a lot of boldness to talk about your story.

Paul, I wonder if anyone has ever shared with you who Jesus is and His deep love for you. No matter what our sin is, we can confess it and be forgiven by Him. I understand healing is a process. Day by day, it sounds like you may know Jesus. Yay!!

Paul - Please pray to almighty Lord asked for forgivenss & stay quietly at home. In case you can get ajob get some monies ,eat nice foods with wife who sacrifices more than enough for you.

The country thst have influenced in America by investing and ownership and often a say in the politics Often they don't have such strict rules of punishment A guy is locked up for 15 years a lost in productivity Also, the boy was 14 but at the time they didn't know it.was it a street kid Was the kid use for blackmail by others Sure their should be a form of punishment Then if a lock up then why not a penal Colony so during the tine they can stay productive yo socity instead of just costing money
