Those caps in the bodywork look like Ziebart rust proofing system. It was a 1980’s thing of injecting wax oil/tar mix into the vehicle cavities. They used to do it at the garage where I worked and would explain how it has survived in such good condition. That Orion really is a good example, amazing condition inside as well.

Used to own an Orion back in the 90s, it passed me off 1 to many times one day that I deliberately drove it into the front of my house 😂😂

Back end always looked awkward , but that's what made it individual, the R.S white lightning look suits it.

Couldn't get more perfect, but Ha! Try find an '80s Orion Cartel body kitted Orion or just the kit, I saw one back then used to park near town where I lived, found the body kit in a magazine around the same time "Cartel kit" the rear bumper valance swept under the rear of the car, never seen a better kit on a onion but the 1600e and the RS as this one are honest perfection

Remember being a passenger in a 1.6i ghia in red doing about 120 down the m11. Petrified. Was an older man's xr3i. I was amazed by the computer it had. Small things. Also. Loved the pepper pots they had.

Super tidy mint car. Nice one. In New Zealand we had the Ford Laser sedan and the Mazda 323 sedan based on that shape. I had a 323 supreme on Momo Ferrari Mag wheels, back in late 90s. Was super comfy with velour upholstery.

I had a Ford Orion back it's day many many Years ago.. ..The reg number was E175FBB ..It was a 1.6LX ..I owned it from 1992 until 1995 (Sadly it went to car heaven in the Year 2000) The 1.6 Litre CHV engine fitted was a weak engine .. But it was a "Canny car" .. back in it's day ... He has done a good job on this car..It looks canny mint ... Ford did do a genuine factory Luxury Orion..It was called the 1600e . It had a luxury interior and luxury trim ..They are Rare as hens teeth now... It was a very smart motor back in it's day ... Good video.

Ford did do a sport version of the Orion basically RS bodykit and alloys but all mods done at RS dealers not "Factory fitted"

Loved the Orion, was my very first car infact, a 1.6 GL, someone had swapped the automatic choke for a manual one though and I had an issue or two surrounding that every now and again. This one looks mint and would have loved this one.

He picked some drunk bird up one night and was pulling away at about 15mph and she slumped over onto the steering wheel he somehow pressed the accelerator and put the car into a bollard. Wrecked it! 😂😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Oh my gosh that Orion is just something. Back in the day my mum used the have one not sure on the engine size she had. Something that ford should of produced and that's me saying that even though I'm a current owner of a clio 200 cup.

that is mint I've had MK1 Orion 1.6 Ghia and a MkII Ford Orion 1.6i that had RS Turbo Wheels and Bonnet off my mates RS Turbo when the engine blew up and The RS Boot Spoiler and my mate had the rarest of all Orion's the 1600E it got stolen and burnt out all they wanted was the wheels

Lush car lot of work went into that build, but he could have hoovered it as floor is minging and not sure about the clear-coated dash .but that engine is sweet as a nut perfect seaburn to shields cruiser

well done man well done nice i had a D reg 1.6i ghia that i put a rs turbo series 2 arch kit on rear doors were a task getting gaps right and in filling also had to lengthen side skirts after that had a black g reg late mk2 that i put fiesta rs turbo engine in with t3 big intercooler n all series 2 running gear

My mate used to have a similar orion he worked at a car spare shop. he must of borrowed about 100 grands worth of stuff for his cars. his had a turbo engine fancy paint job and the red light from kitt in the grill..

Lovely looking car just needed the light gaps sorted and little bit of finesse and less dash cleaner. Like it loads and Paul seems a top dude very humble with great work im just fussy as the car deserves to be 100% with the great job done on the rest of it. I wouldnt turn that its stock engine and box will go for miles of reliability its more reliable than a new car that

So it’s not turbocharged?That thing is crying out for one if not to really make it sound as good as it looks. My cousin used the Rover Tomcat turbo setup on his Zetec 2.0 Series 2.Never the less it is a great take into what Ford could have made if they put some proper cash into a performance Orion RS. Awesome looking car.

Reminds me of my 1.6i Ghia though I never felt the need to clear coat the dashboard. Nice condition though.
