A big thanks to Paul Scholes for taking time out to come & have a chat on all things #mufc. Plenty discussed in the video, and we want to know your own opinions on the talking points discussed. Thank you everyone for your continued support.
Spoke the truth Paul......Mounts' position is Bruno's one and he's not good enough to take his position,it's questionable why Eric ten hag thought he's a priority signing
Great interview very naturally and relaxed 2 men talking sense loved scholes as a player no off the field shite just played the game to the highest level gave everything credit to the club......very few players like him anymore.....
Scholesy made great point about Bruno, fans claim he's World class because he score goals but he need to play his position better create chances for Hojlund and not being everywhere in the pitch
Absolute quality, Scholesy calls a spade a spade and listening to someone who has won it all is fantastic. Credit to you boys for some of the people you’re getting on, spot on and no one comes close. UTFR
Brilliant Tony. Scholesy makes the most sense of any ex-footballing pundit. A lot of common sense from him here. We desperately need a seasoned pro centre forward to partner Rasmus.
That is just one of the best interviews I have seen on this channel Tony. Paul and you talking is just like listening to good mates having a sensible chat in the pub. I enjoy all the chats with Ex-players but Scholsey for me, just says it how it is without any hidden agenda or the worry about upsetting anyone. What I would give to have a player like him in our MF right now. Great video great channel.
Scholes, exactly the type of player MUFC are missing nowadays, pride for the badge, passion, desire, energy, commitment, everything that's lacking with many of the current squad
What about technical ability? pride for the badge, passion, desire, energy, commitment doesn't mean anything if the player doesn't possess the talent to play for a club like Manchester United
Brilliant Interview by Scholes! But,I'm getting the impression that some ex players could be unaware of how much criticism and bias ETH faces from the media and pundits! Fans hear and see it non-stop!
He probably doesn't watch most of these other so called "fan channels" which is where most of the ETH out stuff is. No doubt he's a busy man with his own work/family commitments.
Great to see a legend on the show, how we miss him. Tony must have a lot of respect with the ex players with who he gets on the show. Break might do us good, got to start playing better football, we need to score more,Great show
Varana cost us points against Gala and Copenhagen, he is not in form at all. I can see why Erik plays Harry who is in form with Evans as LCB. But goddamn, imagine Martinez and Kim at the back with the likes of Todibo and Harry on the bench. Imagine having Frenkie de Jong and Kane in the squad. I mean, Erik didn’t got support at all. People are staring blindly at the amount spend, but he really hasn’t had 1st choice players at all. I’m happy that Sir Jim will change things around the club, we need structure badly. And i think we should be very happy that we are 6st with just 7 points of second place in our baddest start ever. People are crying about style of play, let’s be happy Erik get us points with this injury crisis. It will come!
Love the pod . Zidane when he was playing was once asked how does it feel to be the best player in the world and is answer was " I don't know , ask Paul Scholes ". Awesome
Paul Scholes has confirmed my thoughts... The Man United teams of the 90s and early 2000s were filled with players who could not only play but were intelligent off the pitch and actually understand football... Gary Neville and Paul Scholes are very intelligent when it comes to both playing and assessing football and what it is to play for Man United! Absolute delight listening to them.
People like Paul Scholes understand the standards needed to play at Manchester United. You have to listen to their views on the club, because they've experienced those levels themselves. They might not be in the background with the current players but they can definitely express an opinion on what they produce on the pitch
Scholesy nailed it on the head about partnerships. We literally do not have that at all. Nothing on the sides, nothing down the middle and just key area partnerships. It existed at one point with Varane/Martinez and last year with Bruno/Rashford, but it doesn't exist in our team. That's what was so good about the United of past.
Love this channel, having Paul on is fantastic I am an Evertonian but watch several other club channels. Paul knows what he is talking about not like journalist
Depends on the journalist some are decent such a pity some of our present players don't have Paul's work ethic and commitment that he showed when he played back in the day
Tony that interview was class and I tell you that interview was needed , as a United fan I feel we needed to hear that from the main man Paul it’s great to hear an interview like that from an ex player who feels the team need to do more but we have the right manager in place which all true United fans can see I’m sure he will get it right and we will be playing great football once again . The injuries are still going to hinder this until the new year but as fans we except this , brilliant from Paul and Tony
Brilliant interview. Scholsey knows what it takes. Top quality. You lads have created a superb channel that's red to the core and tells it like it is. 🇾🇪
100% genuine honest interview with some great points i actuialy think we shouod just try going to the old school 4 4 2 formation and stuck bruno upfront with hojlund and we can have mason mount starting in midfield and that woukd bring balance rashfird on left and gsrnacho on the right and ofcourse casemeiro with mount
Paul my favourite player of all time, Great interview so much better then the ones you see on Sky or BT. And as you’ve said at the end completely agree with everything he’s said because like us he’s a fan. Might get some stick for saying this but I think it was a mistake to sell Fred yes sometimes he didn’t have a good game but he would always give 100% something I don’t think some of them are doing at the moment. But just hope we can get through the next couple of months and after Christmas get AWB, Shaw, Martinez back and try to buy a decent CB in January and hopefully have a great second half to the season.
I'd still be one of many that would still want Maguire replaced by someone more comfortable with the ball at his feet, Yeah Maguire has played well and he's shown that he can do a job at a time when he's getting stick from all corners but if and when we have a settled side that wants to play nice attacking football playing quicker that's when Maguire gets found out,The slower the pace the more it suits him.. Once our wingers start to cross the ball more and others create chances for Hojlund he'll get the goals he's been one of the players that's stood out, I just pray that the players who down tools don't suck the life from him because we've seen players with massive potential having there confidence shattered.. I'd luv Kobie to grab his chance when he gets it 👍☘☘☘
One of our problems is that game after game our wingers simply want to cut inside and score their own goals. If we had wingers with the ability to get past defenders on the outside and serve the ball to Hoiland we would see a significant increase in game results... Take a look at how Rahim Sterling took Carl Walker to the cleansers in the first half of the Chelsea vs Manchester City game. Blind freddy can see this shortfall!
It must be difficult for Scholesy to rate midfielders because him has a midfielder could do things that other midfielders could not ,Pauls Scholes 5/10s are others 10/10s.
Great honest video, Tony. Hojlund will never be a 20 goals a season striker. 18 in 69 games before joining us is a poor record. Mason Mount wasn't needed, just an extra massive fee and wage on the club. Anyway take me back to the days of the 10 past 8 service train to Euston. We barely talked football them days on that 4 hour journey. Mook, Shady Paul ,Burnsy ,Beef Phibby ,Tish, and many more following Big Ron's team. The result was never as important as the days we had.
In fact, you are a legend, Paul Scholes. We miss such a wonderful player with wonderful morals on or even off the field. May God protect you and grant you success in your life forever.
Paul as usual making great points. As fans we all have to ask about SJR and his so called new title because you CANNOT have total sporting control when a Glazer will be on the INEOS board making those decisions and at some point there will be a clash between SJR and the Glazers and thats when the shit will hit the fan in this deal because at 25% SJR does not have a lot of say. You also have to ask where the cash is coming from with regards transfer spending, debt reduction and infrastructure funds all are sorely needed to sort all the problems UTD fans atm. Too many people seem to think SJR will be doing all the spending but i have to say i dont see that happening given we all know as fans the Glazers wont be spending a penny of THEIR cash
One of the all time greats of Man Utd. Interesting to hear what he thinks about the club he served so well. And now speaking as a fan. The answer regarding playing entertaining football. Oh so true. We all want to win. But even if you lose. If the game was good to watch. And everyone was trying. That plays such a big part. In all honesty I hate modern football. The way it is played now, playing out from the back. As Paul said. I call pit a pat football. It's crap. It was a European thing. Now everyone plays it. Still crap. Everyone is scared to play a long ball these days. Going up the pitch. Or around the goal. They all want to walk the ball in. Get away from this. Get some more fluidity on the pitch. Let the game flow. Referees should have their whistle implanted up their arse before kick off. So they don't blow it 10 000 times a game. VAR should be blown up. Play football. Play entertaining football. Play football like Paul played. Yes please.
Scholes my all time fav. Would love to see you lot all managing United. Scholes Carrick Rooney Becks Neville Keane Giggs Ole. Kieran McKenna also doing well. Love you all.
Great interview Tony, Paul is hurting like us all I think he is right we have to back Eric the cycle of sacking managers after a couple of years has to end now Eric needs help he has to many jobs to do hopefully with a new C.E.O and a really top draw D.O.F he can get on with coaching the team
Webby I rarely say this, but this channel might be some of the best content on the internet. Top quality. Top product. Top bloke. Keep it up gents. - bobby
That was a great point about Bruno; he does run around like a headless chicken at times, trying to be everywhere. But we're often so starved for passion from the players that we see it as a good thing, like when you see a player casually jogging back after they lose the ball.
Love what Paul says my hero from standing in the Stretford singing....I was at a game a few weeks ago sitting in the Streford end and all who where singing was the TRUE UNITED FANS too the right..... Get rid of all the corporate rubbish .Im a MUFC member pay lots of money for that ....This year bought 12 kits for my family because we have a passion...but cant get tickets because all are sold though corporations NO TRUE FANS ARE THERE .. NO SINGING NO PASSION FROM people who have been given a ticket from a company.. I use to queue up at the Streford End .get in meat and potatoe pie cup of bovil for £4 and the ground was rocking ...True fans are no longer there so the team has no inspiration .MUFC NEEDS TOO GET BACK TOO ROOTS REAL FANS
