Paul Simon is a national treasure! I love his solo albums as much as anything he did with Art Garfunkel.

❤Bridge...a true shining example of American music at its best. When Paul completed it he said Art has to sing this, I can't.😢 I defy anyone not to become emotional listening to the strings at the end of the song.

I think Paul answered Howard's question when he described where his music/art came from. It was not an accident or by chance matter...the creativity comes from God!

To me , Sound of Silence, The Boxer and Duncan are among my favourite Paul Simon's songs ever! He's just brilliant!

I was raised in an extremely Catholic home that I often found to be oppressive. We were probably more Catholic than the Vatican. So when I left my parent's house I declared myself an atheist; believing that atheistism was simply a lack of religious belief. Over time I painfully discovered I didn't possess the faith required to be an atheist. Atheists and Darwinists are some of the most faith-filled people you will ever encounter. When I finally concluded that the chance of life randomly coming into existence was so profoundly remote that I found myself embracing the idea of a creator. I cannot tell you the mind of that creator or the nature of that creator the will of that creator but I am now convinced creation is far more likely than life being randomly generated. Good luck to all in figuring out this enigma for yourselves.

A great era of artists and musician etc is gradually passing and I don't think we have much to replace them. However we are blessed to have lived in at least some of their era.

Paul Simon is, of course, one of the truly great musicians/lyricists of the last century . . . maybe longer. And Howard Stern has turned out to be a fabulous interviewer. This is a helluva interview.

I love the concept that it’s all just language describing the same feeling. You call it collective consciousness or god or infinite wisdom…it’s the same thing. Which means we really don’t have anything to argue about. We’re in the same boat

I truly believe in God but Paul and I do have one thing in common. He mentioned Sounds of Silence which was used in my uncle's film "The Graduate" And to think everytime I hear him sing Mrs. Robinson I can say my uncle was Mr. Robinson!

Always LOVED the duo's songs, there was more to them than mere words. The so called BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER speaks to me of the CROSS OF CHRIST JESUS that bridges the gulf below and leads to ETERNAL LIFE

Paul Simon quite rightly deserves much respect as a gifted song writer and musician. What a great question the interviewer asked him. I can testify that the place he will find the Creator God is in the pages of the Holy Bible. I pray that he reads it before his life is over.

I am really surprised he did not mention his album "Rhythm of Saints". That album especially you can feel the ancient spirits flowing through him as he acts a conduit for the divine energies. Graceland was incredible as well though.

Paul Nailed the songs coming from somewhere else. It really happens. His take on God is very close for me and many more. Free will, religion provides hope, but God I think leaves us alone to our own devices, then our body dies and that golden soul takes over. Where it goes nobody really knows but I'm hoping for a real kool heaven and meeting Elvis. God is love, and it's a thing, not an emotion.
