Love Paul Wall. This man came to my Reservation in South Dakota! He flew in and did a show on the Rosebud Indian Reservation. We don’t get no celebrity showing up to the Rez but for him to do that was crazy! He always got my respect. All of Texas got my respect because it was nothin but love.

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, saying this man is a 'culture vulture' or any of that other nonsense, is crazy AF. Never seen a rapper on any skill level so gracious and humble all the time! Dude is constantly on some "I'm just happy to be in the room" type vibe. To even call whatever distance between him and Chamillionaire "beef" has got to be an overstatement because he is consistent in every interview that asks in praising him and showing nothing but love and respect. Friends DO get tired of each other sometimes and evolve. Doesn't mean they have to hate each other.

Back in the day my boy started a company in Denver called Certified Customs. He partnered with Paul Wall and TVJohnny and started selling expensive taste clothing and Johnny Dang grillz. I worked for them as a jewelry salesman and flipped swishahouse mix tapes at swap meets. Paul was a humble cool dude and he would take care of his people

Man Paul is such a solid dude. This is the first interview I’ve seen of him. Being from a poor white trash town on the outskirts of Houston. Growing up in the era of Paul wall, Slim thug, Mike jones Big moe. I’ve been a fan as long as I’ve been old enough to listen to rap music. I use to watch them on pbs late saturdays night with my brother. Not having cable and that being one of the only things that was cool that would come on. Shout out Paul and all the greats!

JV an nw Hou is definitely not a poor white trash town. The hoods around jv were middle class neighborhoods back then. Back when we were at jvhs together, you have to head out 290 another 15-20 miles before you hit a small town outside of Houston. Just want to shed some light on how dumb that comment sounds to anyone from the h. Wherever you heard it pass that along.

I really enjoyed this interview. Paul Wall has always been my all-time favorite. I remember filling out a form off the internet and mailing cash to get a tape or cd in the mail from the swisher house. And The day Hell broke Loose...Mannn! Those were the days!

I remember finding Paul Wall aka Paul Waldo, Paul Walrus, Paul Wiggity Wall lol on Napster downloading swishahouse files. What was funny is that his name was spelled POW WOW and I thought that was his name until actually hearing the freestyles 😂. A lot of my friends would call him POW WOW and I was the one correcting my homies it’s PAUL WALL! The Peoples Champ 🥊

Born & Raised Dallas Texas I grew up on the Swishahouse Era 98 99 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 and I still jam the old Swishahouse jams today !!!!! I remember when I met The Swishahouse at T Town Records at Bruton Bazzaar when NS11 was released !!!!

Been a fan since they ( him and Cham) were dropping off tapes and CD's off at Renaissance Records in Killeen TX way back in about 97-98. I'm only a year younger so my city was on the same vibe at the time. Was cool to see our culture promoted so properly. I remember first everyone thought both Paul and Chamill were Black. Then we heard they were both white. When they became a lil bigger we got it figured out. BOTH are living legends.. Shouts to Homestead, Mesa Ave out in the H from Willow Sprangs out in Killeen, TX.
