Years ago, I came across Paul Winchell's book "Ventriloquism For Fun and Profit" and used it to learn the wonderful art of ventriloquism. My father had a professional figure made for me. I performed all over---at my school, churches, and twice on a local kids' television program. It was a wonderful time in my life! I have never forgotten it! I still have one of my figures, although I know longer perform.
@georgesanth007 Thank you. I once read a bio of ventriloquist Jeff Dunham. Apparently, he also learned ventriloquism from Paul Winchell's book "Ventriloquism for Fun and Profit." Paul Winchell was the greatest of all ventriloquists. Thank you for posting the video. It was wonderful seeing him perform again!
How To Rap Like Tigger. 🤣 (55:16) Real talk though, that moment was pretty cool. Never thought I'd see him actually rap. I'm not too familiar with Winchell outside of his voice performances in cartoons, so maybe he's done it before, but I sure as heck never saw it. Now I have, and it was awesome. 😄
I believe the dramatic show he is talking about at 36:36 and 54:55 is from a Lights Out episode called "The Whisper" done in 1949. Some internet searches show it as season 1 episode 8 and others show it as season 2 episode 8. I would really like to see the full episode but so far I have not been able to find it. I'm wondering if it has been lost to time.
