Today's youth will never understand what music like this did for us back in the late 80's and early 90's. What I wouldn't give to go back for just a short time again...
I was a teenager when this came out. My parents were alive back then. So were my grandparents. Now they're all gone. How incredible that we don't realize just how special those times we lived in back then were. Little did we know. That they were the most significant times we will ever know. My Mother played this song in her room. It brings back those memories like they were literally yesterday. If only we can go back in time. To relive these moments we had that truly changed our lives forever. We didn't know just how very much we would miss them someday. I Love you mom. Til we meet again in Heaven.
Teenager at the best time.... Our parents were awesome huh!! Momma was a single mother around this time and let me tell you them kitchen concerts were the best. Jamming with momma .
I didn't make any memories to this song, I was just a kid when it came out. But I also haven't made any memories in the time since it's come out because I'm all alone and have no one and I'm really tired of seeing comment like yours on youtube all the time bragging about having the things I was never allowed to.
@@James-if3kcI'm so sorry 😞 do you not have any memories to any songs? There really is someone out there for everyone. And I'm not bragging, that's a very negative way of looking at it and actually very spiteful.. live your life make memories but don't begrudge others to do the same
@@pennybunny If you knew anything about my life and what I've been through, you would understand why I say the things I say. Long story short, I'm a 42 year old virgin and I live with my mom, so go ahead and make fun of me for that, I know that's what you all do. I was home schooled and kept away from everything by my dad for the first 30 years of my life, in addition to being raised in a strict religious cult. I never got my driver's license, I don't have a job, or any friends, I've never had a girlfriend. So as you can see, it's completely hopeless for me, but go ahead and make fun of me like everyone else does.
@@pennybunny Everyone that I've ever seen can all agree on one ting, and that's that I'm w0rthless. No matter who it is or what their beliefs are, they all agree that people like me are a joke, and that's ALL I've ever seen from anyone!
Yes. The summer of 1991 was the best! Watched this video on repeat when I was 13 also and fell in love with Keanu too!!! Him and LL Cool J were both my childhood crushes!!😍😍😍😍
For me, memories of my then girlfriend and how much I loved her The usual consensus is that you're supposed to remember your exes negatively. For me, I miss the time we had together As Paula says, nobody has ever touched me so deep inside
@@SamuelBlack84 i think the same thing brother, we men are the romantics, we want to keep the relationship, the bond, the marriage, sadly they aint thinking about us.
I've never seen the video before so it was a nice surprise. People can say what they want, Paula Abdul was a great entertainer who could also sing; this is one of my favorites from her.
The summer of 91. I was 18 years old...already loved Keanu from Bill and Ted❤ fell in love with him in this video especially. Also that summer is when Point Break came out! Long Live Keanu!
This song is 32 years, 5 mounts and 8 days old. Still love it. This song made my younger years. I am pushing 50 now. Thank you, Paula Abdul. This is what makes me young! :)
This song used to make me feel so emotional as a teenager, I wanted to be in love so badly. And now I'm married to the guy who used to walk me home from high school ❤❤❤❤
The song reminds me of the only girl I've ever been hopelessly in love with who for reasons beyond me loved me back Then, fate forced us to go our separate ways She's married now, and I'm all alone still remembering our time together
My favorite by her. The fact Keanu Reeves is in it makes it even better. He's an awesome human being. Never hear anything bad about him. It's refreshing.
Never 'hear' anything bad about him. That's the thing about celebrities, politicians, and people in your life. You only hear their best or worst. You should appreciate everything that someone has to offer, no matter how bad they otherwise are. :) But yeah, Keanu is awesome.
Reminds me of summer break during high school. Warm weather hanging out with my friends and that one girl catching my eye while we were out running around at the carnivals.
This is the first slow dance I had with my partner in 1991. We split up back then, reunited 9 years ago, and now we are getting married in two weeks. ❤

From 1991 till today as of 13th June 2023, my heart still beats the same way when I hear and see this song! And as I have seen during these 32 years, in a world where love is so fragile and easily broken, this vdo and song along with Keanu Reeves, who is in a happier place now personally, this vdo serves to be a source of hope ❤️.
Yes! Rebel Without A Cause starring James Dean. A true classic and no one here in the comments know that they re-enacted the movie using Keanu (gag me with a fork) playing James Dean's part. Oh well, Millennials only know about boring movies and boring music.
@@vintagegirl1961 this song isn't all that since her vocals at some parts are flat try not to stereotype a whole generation to uplift yours when we can say the same about those questionable movies and songs from your time lol
No they really don't Stephanie and Madonna said it the best once in her recent interview's her being halfway naked sold even after they got after her,sex sells basically and she was all disgustingly happy about it. This music is real life and pure
This is a music video made for tv watch not youtube and by early 2000s they simply stopped because MTV wasn't showing music videos and youtube emerged.
My dad bought this cd for my sister and I when we were just kids. I'm 41 now and our dad is really sick 😫 but listening to this song gives me hope. Our dad has always been a fighter. I want him to know that it's OK to go if he's tired. Love you daddy 👨 😘 ❤️
I'd be honored if some fans of late 80s/early 90s classics would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of HEAVEN HELP ME by Deon Estus & George Michael and GET HERE IF YOU CAN by Oleta Adams & Brenda Russell on my YT channel in tribute to the era. Live acoustic with no autotune. Peace & stay safe.
My mom cooking and playing this music, 18 years without her on earth. Sitting tonight in Cape Town, RSA crying missing her. With this music I reminisce experiencing her again.
I understand now why my parents would always listen to the 60 and 70s all the time. It's the 80s and 90s for me. Songs like this take me back to my youth and brings back the memories of being a kid . Everyone says it but it feels so true, time flys by so quick
I’m just feeling so nostalgic right now. This song brings me back in time when I was younger with no care in the world. My mom was still alive. High school fun. And my crush on Keanu started. Man time flies by so fast. This song just takes me back to the specific time I first heard it.
I still love slow dancing to this song. I was 15 when I first heard it and saw Keanu. I had never given white guys a second glance but this sweet soul made me look trice. 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍🤪🤪🤪
They always made these particular videos a big event prior to it being aired by showing behind the scene rehearsals. They did it with Janet Jackson's "Alright" video and Paula Abdul's "Rush, Rush".
Yes remember MTV actually played music videos music!! They sold out. MTV =more tv than videos. Lucky to see 1 video a day. It's sad. They ruined a great channel. If I wanted to see tv shoes especially gay stupid dramatic shows I can turn on bravo the kardassians real housewives own etc. I miss when mtv was MTV. THOSE DAYS ARE OVER.
"Can I ask you something?" "Have you ever been in love?" "If I was, I didn't know it. And you?" "No. Isn't that terrible?" "Terrible....No....It just reminds you that we're all alone, that's all" The best part of the song is always will be the violin solo hands down
As a young boy this made me wish I had a girlfriend like her and a cool car like his. Now an older man being able to appreciate the emotion and influence of a great song and music video. I miss the good ol days😔
Yeah I couldn't agree more.I feel like we have lost so much emotion or to afraid to shoe it anymore.Such a shame as it seems like all women just want a rich a guy and no class. What about us normal guys who would love just to play good tunes and be romantic with other women without the bull.
Being young in the 80's was a great time, no social media crap, great music on the radio, and not to mention no mobile phones. It was a great time to be alive. The kids today don't know what they have missed. These are crazy times. Stay Safe everyone.
All generations have its good and bad side. Today’s generation if their bored, they have the internet and quickly search music from the past and have information at their fingertips. Us in the 80s and early 90s we listen to radio (annoying DJs), tapes that we physically have or go to a music store.
One of my all time fav, since I first heard it when I was 15. Didn't have a clue about Keanu then, and what a gem of a person he turned out to be. Oh, how time flies. Days are long, but years are short.
I did. Bill & Ted. I thought he was heaven walking. My very first serious boyfriend resembled him a lot. He was so nice too, and is still a humble guy. Just lovely.
Hello my friend hahaha, having a Paula moment. I wish this was a real movie. I believe it would have been a hit.. But most definitely, a classic 😉 totally agree.. Yes, I had to subscribe to you. I hope you don't mind. Saw you twice so fast I had to 🫡
@@Natasha_835 thank you. Of course I don't mind. I'm a musician and music lover just like you. Merry Christmas! I also subscribed to you as well. A few weeks ago lol
@@Natasha_835it was a remake of the movie, “rebel without a cause.” She plays Julie who supposed to be like Judy and Keanu plays Jeff who’s supposed to be like Jim. Technically, there is a movie just like this.
@deanosaur808 ummm, hello hahaha.. Did you actually read what I wrote??? Where did I say this is a real movie ??? I'm not 10, you know. I have watched `Rebel Without a Cause' many times in my lifetime. I'm not being rude because I'm not that sorta person.. But please go back and read what I wrote again.. Have a lovely evening. God bless 🙏
To me I love both of them for different reasons. I recently had a colleague say he did not like Keanu Reeves, that has had me curious ever since. As a male or female, I fail to see how you could dislike either of them.
I appreciate the response and support from the fans, from the people who don't really care to see me on screen... I just don't want to jeopardize that ever. I love you all 😘😘💗
Nothing here around right now like it , just what disgusting Madonna said her naked body sold and just fake sex talk. Here this is real pure and wholesome
The only reason you're here is because you've searched for this classic to take you back to the 90s. Our music is timeless and I'm proud to be an 80s baby 👑
I appreciate the response and support from the fans, from the people who don't really care to see me on screen... I just don't want to jeopardize that ever. I love you all
@@cynthiahenderson7274 thank you so much for your lovely comment and support I really appreciate your effort that makes me higher and higher dear special fans.
Takes me back to my days of making a slow jam tape, to play in the background when I was on a late night phone call with my teenage romance. Those were the days.
