Pigeon Forge makes a rainy day look relaxing…I wouldn’t mind being out 😊💕..this is how i discovered y’all, doing the Paula Deen review..I absolutely love her..she is such an inspiration to single moms 💕💕
Really enjoying your videos I'm learning a lot. We vacation in Tennessee every year , we are from out-of-state. We've eaten at Paula Deen's six times, but we've only eaten dinner. Every dinner was absolutely delicious ! For dessert, I always ask for ooey gooey cake, and it has never been ooey gooey. Every time it has been extremely dry and a small piece. I can't understand it because it is so easy to make. I make that cake all the time. Give dinner another try just don't ask for the ooey gooey cake...Lol! You've opened my eyes to so many other things to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg that I didn't know about. Thanks!
My son and his wife said they were doing Paula Deans then Apple Barn for lunch and finishing with the Alamo Steakhouse....I told my wife I’d believe it after they’ve done it! They got to Paula’s a little later and made Breakfast then they ate lunch at Apple Barn at about 4/5 so the Steakhouse became an Ice cream! They have big servings down there! Love the food and this pod cast!
I really respect her and her 2 sons for how she made a living when her son's were young in Savannah. She would make sandwiches and sell them to make money. That's what started her resturant "The Lady and Sons". The thing is that she did not stay with her true self and lost site of who she was and where she came from. Not trying to hate on her but it is what happens when some people get to big to fast.. She needs yo get back to her real roots...!! Dolly Parton is so much of whom she is. Dolly is true to her self and NEVER FORGETS WHERE SHE CAME FROM.. right there in the cabin up in the Smokey Mountains. But Dolly will tell anybody that her favorite place to eat is at a little gas station outside of Pegion Forge.
I have eaten at Paula's in Pigeon Forge,Myrtle Beach, and Savannah Ga. Loved them all but Savannah beats them all..what a place! The food there was just amazing
Yes thats it exactly but I can see why the San Antonio one closed and Dallas one struggling. The brand new one in Branson barely open a year & closed 2 1/2 months for virus. I think they might have gone a bit overboard on the store -but hey the food looks okay and certainly generous!!
My neighbors compared Pioneer Woman’s restaurant in her hometown in OK and a Paula Deen restaurant. They both said Pioneer Woman was super quality and Deen’s felt more like a regular chain restaurant but good good too. They cant wait to go back to Ree Drummond’s place.
My kids ate at Paula Deans a couple years ago for Dinner. They loved it. I refused to pay that much so we ate at a popular Mexican place in Pigeon Forge. I'll try it next year maybe. My kids had dinner and loved it.
We all love food so any videos on it is always great😁 we have eaten at Paula Dean's the only thing when we were done we were too full to really want to do anything else😂 sleepy too.. but it was good I would recommend trying at least once...Lots of places to eat around there... some of the best places are sometimes hole in the wall type places .... Are there any special hole in the wall places maybe known to mostly locals that are really great?🙄 Would love to know😊 or (suggestion only) video on " Great hole in the wall places to eat known only to locals" 😂😁😊 Thanks again for your views and reviews😂 ....ok I'm hungry now Dawn I think I want chicken 🐔🐓🐔🐓🐔😂😂😂 sorry Dawn 😂🤗
Hi Guy's Paul's kitchen is right down my line Lunch's dinner's morning times two!! Lovely Trip and Guy's yummy Food! Loved it awesome!! Love your lovely video's! THANKS GUY'S!
You need to try J.T. Hannah's Kitchen in Pigeon Forge if you haven't, I love the fried trout but my wife and I have yet to find anything on the menu that was not good. I was there a couple Saturdays ago and the bar tender highly recommended the ribs, he said they fall of the bone and I love ribs. I'll probably be back up there around early/mid February and definitely going to try the ribs. As always thanks for another awesome video.
Wow! That looks so good! Thanks for taking us with you. We tried to eat there the last time we were there but it was too long to wait. Maybe next time. 💕
We go to Paula Deans every time we come to Gatlinburg ( twice a year). I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The lunch and dinner is much better than the breakfast. The meats they offer at dinner are awesome! Spareribs, fried chicken, catfish. So good!!
We did Paula Dean's this past summer. We did a review and haven't ever released it lol. But our thoughts were... We decided on this for dinner in place of Old Mill on our trip. We regretted that. Not that it wasnt good, it just wasn't the country cooking. ~Dawn
We were just there last week. I was disappointed not seeing the fall decor as we normally do this time of year. I seen the stampede and the three bears and a scarecrow here and there. Gatlinburg didn't have theirs out either.
Ok, you get pickled!! Too funny!! We've never been to the Island. There's just so much to do in the Smokies. Y'all are so blessed to live there. Thank ya'll!!
Bacon is just "meat candy" 😄...I've never had breakfast at Paula Deens...I've had both lunch and dinner there on several occasions and I have never been disappointed...thank you for the review 😊
Doesn’t look appealing like the other typical breakfast spots in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Prices are expensive too. Can’t bring myself to pay those prices for a breakfast. I’ll pass next tine I’m visiting the smokies.
Heyyyy Y’all! Just found y’all’s channel and so glad I did. I subscribed and wish you all tons of luck with your channel. Great content, keep them coming!
Amazing how rain doesn't show on video. Good video guys. I know it was a pain in the butt in the rain. I think Paula Dean's place sounds like a treat, but the breakfast choices are tremendous there, and some are wonderful. The breakfast competition is fierce there.
I went there on a trip in 2018. Service was cordial and impecable. The food was licious’ (it was raining that day too) The gift shop could prove to be financially crippling. And so could Dollywood craft stores.
I had a record player like that one, too, Will. And I don't remember those moonshine pickles the last time I was at Ol' Smoky Moonshine (few years back). Those cherries are awesome, though.
Really enjoyed your video of Paul Deans restaurant! We heard a lot about it & were wondering about the prices! Looked good but I've been cooking like that since childhood & I'm from the North! Looked a little to expensive for us plus we could never be able to re-order! All you can eat isn't for us! Our favorite place to eat over there, one that we Drive about an hour just to go to, is The Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg! Been going there for almost 30 years! Best burgers in town! We go at least 3-4 times a year, just to eat there! Prices are reasonable too! Have you ever eaten there? Keep up your fun work!
Next time you’re at the island buy a jar of moonshine and take a shot every time you see someone with a Paula Dean haircut, that jar may last an hour at the most....😂😂😂😂😂
We like applebarn for breakfast. We ate supper twice at Paula Deen's a month or so back. Really good! We didn't really care for Huck Finns or TJ Hannahs. The cajun restaurant in Wears Valley is really good. We ate Thanksgiving lunch at mama's farmhouse. Disappointing. Mel's Diner is a neat experience. We spend every fall, early winter in Tn. We are fulltime rvers.
Hi John in the description box of each video it will say published date in the upper left corner take that date and minus 1 day and that's the date. The video I shoot today is uploaded on the next. Thanks for watching John👍
Wish i could write her personality & tell her how much she made a difference in my life, from watching her show in 2006 went from not leaveing my home to owning 2 restaurants & her banana pudding & brownies got me in countless local magazine's & news papers, thank you paula! You have helped me get out & that bad depression & iv been able to stay happy & still help all local charities, thanks again!
That Dawn is my kinda girl. Honey I would have eaten those cinnamon rolls up too girl!!!!! We love Gatlinburg and go every chance we get especially at Christmas we rent a house for the family. Love the reviews u'll keep em comin!!!!
You know Will and Dawn you could just do reviews on the Restaurants in the area. There is a couple that do that at Disneyland in California and they have over 70,000 followers. Just a thought. Good video.
I would like to your drive in from Townsend. I hear it's a very hilly and curved road. I get car sick and I want to see if I can do the drive. I enljiy your blogs.
7 months after you made this video, we won't visit Paula Deen's anymore. The last time we went for dinner with friends and family that were visiting. The meatloaf was awful, dry and no taste. We wish they had said the ribs were spicy, nobody liked them. Her fried chicken is good, but for 5 people, they brought out two chicken wings. Husband asked for a breast and it did't come until we were ready to pay the bill. The sides were good. The wait staff was friendly, but his hands were tied over what the kitchen does. If you're visiting, it's a must go to so you can say you were at a Paula Deen restaurant.
I love a good HONEST food review like this! The 5-10 store was great too..latch hook...I did that back in the day :) great vlog you two...as per usual.
You guys are so fun to watch. I’m a local also and have been to most of these places but your videos are still nice to see. Couple of comments, I would have kicked a fit when the Paula Dean all you can eat casserole and bacon were not refilled. Also a suggestion for a place to visit is the ironworks place (on the Parkway near light 8 or 10?) where you can make your own knife. They have you heat it, pound it, someone sharpens it - but looked to be something most people wouldn’t otherwise get to experience. Hope to run into you, and keep up the fun visits around the area.
You should have told them to bring you the correct bacon, since it’s all you could eat anyhow. We ate at margaritaville when we were there. Nice area the island, lots of stores and the shuttle from the parking lot was a plus also. Please take your hat off when you eat in a restaurant, it’s disrespectful, maybe I’m old school. But I enjoy your videos and I luv that area of Tennessee, we visit there from Ohio every year.
I subscribed! My wife and I got engaged at the top of the ski mountain in gatlinburg. We then got married there. It's a special place to us.keep up the cool videos guys!
I've seen a couple of these reviews of the food at Paula Deen's, and it all looks very plain. Looks like you could get the same thing at Shoney's, and for a lot less. I guess I expect a better overall experience for the cost.
We had the heavy rain today too. It changed over to snow a few hours ago. Suppose to get couple of inches of snow. We have been under a flood warning for 2 hours now. Crazy weather. We ate lunch at Paula Deen's a little after it opened. The food was way too salty for our liking. I have heard others rave about the bacon. We will need to try breakfast there to get some of that bacon. They should give you at least 2 pieces of bacon each to start with since it is the only breakfast meat you had. I love that 5 & 10 cent store. We are always there when it is so crowded that you can hardly see anything.
Emery's is my favorite! Dawn is so cute in this video! I like the length of her hair, it makes her look younger to fall loosely just beyond her shoulders. And she's a giggler!!!
Loving these food reviews. Food looked great and menu looked packed. Will have to try there and all these other places I haven't been to that you reviewed once I get off this diet and into Tennessee lol
We had dinner there and I felt the same way. Idk if I would have it again. Its certainly not the best in town and the price is kind of up there compared to other choices.
Hope it is better than in Savannah. My Aunt's church from Kentucky has been twice, and it was not very good, according to them. They gave the restaurant a second chance the next year. Both times were at lunch. Just their opinion.
Me and my wife was there yesterday. It was bad.The potatoes were burned and they only have premade scrambled eggs with cheese in them.probably powered eggs and I know its supposed to be all you can eat but the proportions they bring out are small enough to feed a small child. Then the bill was almost 50$ for just us! The food quality was like shoney's we won't ever do that agian.😒
The evening meal when we went (June2019) was a wreck. The only two dishes that my husband and I liked were meatloaf and the collard greens. The corn casserole/pudding was dry and hard, chicken was cold and catfish was greasy. I have two of PD's cookbooks and could fix better at home than her PF restaurant. Sorry. If you get a chance, try The Local Goat! It was a hit and it is locally owned!
We ate at Paula Dean's not so great.but Hands down Huck finn catfish was awesome..sorry Paula..but atmosphere was great...good job,😘y'all are awesome...love your surprise endings😁😁😁😁
