Paultons Park are building Ghostly Manor, their ever first dark ride and it'll be a world's first dark ride as this Mack Rides Gameplay Theatre will debut at Paultons ahead of one being built at Europa Park in Germany. I’m glad you added the video of the Mack ride as had no clue what it will be. Looks very smart ride system. I wonder if that was what Alton towers were planning with project horizon

Horizon was originally a multidimensional coaster but things have pivoted since then I’m not sure to what extent, if it’ll still be a MDC or not… it’s going in strange directions but I’m adamant that what it was before is much better than what it’s going to be but it’ll still be a nice little family fun indoor coaster all the same

I’m not a fan of shooter rides but the theming will make up for it! I wonder too if paultons will get an animatronic for the pre-show, maybe one like the baron 1898!

The world needs more darkrides and haunted houses! I wish more parks would invest in them...I mean I love coasters also...but I prefer darkrides! As an American I am interested in seeing the finished product and may want to include this park on a trip after it opens.

The way Paultons goes about upgrading and maintaining their park is what all theme parks should aspire to. They don't cut any corners... #MinifigureSpeedway Having said that, I've never been a fan of shooting dark rides, as the feel gimmicky instead of immersive. Still, Mack and Paultons is a strong combo for bucking that trend.

Not difficult, Hex is 90% made up of real Towers ruins with only 10% of it being actual faux ruin theming. I'm sure Paultons will show the big boys how a real themed immersive experience is done

Uks best Dark Ride thats a tall order Curse at Alton Manor and Hex are really great especially Hex, The Haunting is excellent to with atmosphere. I am sure it will be a great Dark Ride but those others are also outstanding

Not sure about Hex… when you leave the real ruins the rest is bog standard Madhouse with a unique seating layout. Curse is nice in places and amateurish and lazy in others whereas this will be polished all the way through. Paultons can easily beat Merlin effort when it comes to appearance and immersion as they don’t have a scattered portfolio. This is their first dark ride and they will want to make a statement. The ride system MAY not be the UK’s best as we have nothing to compare it to as it’s the first but how it looks will wipe the floor with the competition

Im sorry if this is dumb but do the cars rotate around the room or the rooms turn. With only 5 rooms what would be the expected ride length shorter than the curse?

The carts are on a turntable that spins guest into the physical sets and then alternates them with rotation through the screen-based sets. 5 physical set rooms with 3 screen based rooms so 8 interactive 'rooms' or shooting galleries so to speak. Ride duration would depend on how long you're in each of those 8 sections for

With physical proper sets it’ll certainly be more immersive otherwise a ride system like this would be a little stale. Journey to Rulantica is proof of that, it’s HORRENDOUS 😂
